Long Beach Blue
Visibility package
Sun protection package
MDCT
Comfort access
Electric seats
Harmon Kardon
All provisional prior to August 2016 delivery.
May drop the MDCT depending on reviews of the car when the Journos get them. White with motorsport stripes would be interesting colour option but in reality I'd never go for this...

Hi there. If you had an early M2 coming which you were planning on enjoying for a few months but then needed to sell at the tail end of 2016, how would you say the following spec would fair in terms of re-salebility?
- Mineral Grey
- 6 Speed Manual
- Sun Protection Glass
- Lumbar Support
- Heated Seats
- Harman Kardon soundsystem
I'd appreciate and welcome and thoughts on this spec. Anything that should be re-thought / added?

I thought folding rear bench was standard kn BMW coupes. Is it the split which is the option?
Might need to add this to my spec.
Blimey, I would expect split folding rear seats to be standard in the M2, even in the M235 as well, as they were standard fit in my E82 135i.... Might need to add this to my spec.

It's in the price list as "through loading system" which I need sometimes so I stuck it on the order, no idea if it adds the fold or the split or both.Might need to add this to my spec.
Through load is the gap in the arm rest for skis

Assuming it's the same as the 1 series then the through load is 40:20:40 rather than the standard 60:40 but what is not clear from its description is that it also includes a rear arm rest with built in cup holders - you do not get an armrest without through load so if you carry folk in the back often then it is also worth considering.TuonoPants said:

Here's mine:
M2
Long beach blue
DCT -2MK
Sun protection glass - Z0D
Visibility package - Z0C
Reverse camera - 3AG
Lumber support - 488
Seat heating - 494
Comfort access - 322
Folding mirrors - 430
Elec seats - 459
Enhanced bluetooth - 6NS
HK sound - 674
I'd say a "safe" spec, thinking of ditching the elec seats though, does anyone know is the manual seats are lower?

I'd say that's a safe bet- mineral grey is conservative and looks great imho.- Mineral Grey

Lumbar and heated seats a must for me......
Personally one of my pet hates is sun protection glass- it looks chav and is totally unnecessary unless
maybe to a resident in Australia or the Middle East....but for some reason many folk choose it these days.

Agree on both counts and with me being a little old school I get a little excited nowadays when I do occasionally see a car with a sunroof, so if I had the chance to spec a new car I too would go for a sunroof Think im decided on my spec but the two options im not sure on are reverse camera and comfort access.
Never owned a car with a reverse camera (only standard parking sensors which I never really trust anyway) So my reasoning is the M2 isnt really a big car and ive owned enough cars and never managed to reverse into anything so far. So isnt it a bit of a waste of money. (For me anyway)
Similar with comfort access, ok its a 'nice to have' i guess. but again never owned a car with it and never found it a problem to have to press a button on the fob.
One question I do have... If you dont spec comfort access do you still get a starter button and dont actually need to put the key in anywhere? (I had a new shape 1 series a few years ago and sure it was like that?)
...Think i might have saved myself 700 quid there

The standard car comes with keyless start and a button, you just need the key in your pocket for the car to start. Comfort access means that you don't need to press the button on the remote to unlock the doors.
I've gone for the reversing camera as my current car has it an Mrs Pants has come to rely on it and it costs less than a bumper respray.

Thanks for that. As I thought regarding the keyless start. Dont think Ill bother with it. I've gone for the reversing camera as my current car has it an Mrs Pants has come to rely on it and it costs less than a bumper respray.
Luckily ill be the only one driving so dont need to worry about that.... May go for the camera but leave comfort.
Is there still security/theft concerns associated with comfort access? Or have a I made that up?

The security concerns were with remote locking at large (not the comfort access aspect). Only the older style keys (E generation cars) were affected and the F generation (with keyless go system) is supposed to be immune from that particular spate of crime.Of course, the thieves will catch up eventually I'm sure. And if they really want it, they'll just lift it off the ground onto a low loader.
