I ran RS29's on my F10 M5 & they're epic on road & track.

Had them on previous cars & rate them as the best all round pad you can fit to a road car that's also doing track work.

I fitted EBC yellow stuff all round to my M4 2 weeks ago. although the online comments split opinion in my experience they are fantastic.

Daily driving - better than OEM, cold bite is fine and no squeal or anything. when they warm up you have to reevaluate pedal pressure as they stop HARD.

did a track day at cadwell park last friday and they were awesome. 15 laps at a time and no fade at all. where the OEM pads would start to fade (lap 3 if pushing hard) these just got better. and for some unknown reason they dont seem to dust anyway near as much as the OEM pads which is an added bonus.

for about half the price of OEM pads ill be running these from now on.

I also changed the fluid for Motul rbf 600 at the same time. stock fluid boiled last track day and pedal went to the floor. no issues at all this time round with the racing fluid added and at £16 a bottle seems silly not to do that at the same time.

Agree with jimbooo. Whatever pads you choose, replacing the fluid is as important.

The M3 is a big heavy car. As tempting as it is to stay out on a track day, try and keep lapping sessions as short as you can.
The diff and gearbox will get very hot. It's not something you can see but repeated sustained heavy loads will send the gearbox into an early demise. If you are using the M3 on track more than a few times, a gearbox oil cooler isn't a bad idea at all. Will cost no more than the price of a set of track day tyres to buy & have installed. If you plan on keeping the car a few years as well as tracking it 2-5 times/year, it's a no brainer. Heat kills gearboxes, especially double clutch ones!

little update on the yellowstuff after 1000 miles of daily driving (and the one trackday 500 miles ago).

a slight squeal has appeared just before coming to a stop. nothing awful and not causing me any bother i just thought id correct my earlier comment on this point. in terms of volume if you were further than 15 feet away you wouldnt hear it and it doesnt turn heads (in a bad way like full race pads can)

I was tempted by the Yellowstuffs but their performance has had me questioning whether they work well or not. I know of a few friends that have not been too pleased. But different cars can give different results.

jimboo, how did you bed them in and did you use them on old or new discs?
