Hey guys ,

Just thinking about importing an RHD BMW 2002 M3 e46 Vert , but cannot really work it out how much her market value would be due to very low mileage of under 8,000 miles

The lowest mileage i could find on eBay was 37.000 miles with softop for about £20k

Thanks for any ideas how to price this correctly

Mat

I would proceed with caution regarding that one. Apparently many irregularities and a very shady dealer, will find more info for you tomorrow.

It has done 111000 kilometers, a shade under 70000 miles. Not 8000.

The price at the swedish dealer in question is set at 89.900 SEK, or 7600 Sterling, so it's very cheap for an M3 over here, mostly due to being rhd.

According o the internetz it has been in a large accident and repaired, and the meter is adjusted significally backwards. Stay away is my friendly advise.

This was probably very good call ,
I have spoken to the dealership and ask them many questions about it including the history , backed up low mileage and if it was ever in any accident ...

Long story short , they said the car had only one older owner (British ) who purchased it as brand new in London and emigrated to Sweden ..due computing long miles he bought himself a diesel car and the m3 was driven once per month and they just taken it off him in PX so bla bla bla mileage original never in accident fully backed up with service history ...

I'm having somebody going to view it and drive it for me before i make an decision

But you have scared me now ! If you got anything more to say it will be appreciated

Many thanks

Mat

I could of course be wrong, but there are a few forum posts on swedisg forums about this particular car and att is not kosher with it it seems.

If it were located closer I could have checked it out for you but it's a 400 mile round trip. I'll see if I can dig up something useful.

There has been 5 owners since it was imported here in 2014.

Chassie number is EH76727. Might be easier to check mot history in the UK if you have that information?

Glad the history is clear. I could tell it was a bad one from the photos.

They are BBS LM's and if genuine worth about £3k without tyres.

Exactly what I was thinking. It just looks horrible with tinted windows.

Hi,

Looks like it's a car with a dubious history so as ever, check the car over very thoroughly if you do decide it's worth looking at.

Desirable spec includes having the oem full navigation audio/GP setup, which it looks like it doesn't have. Also confirm if they are indeed genuine BBS LM wheels. The pic below shows how you can tell from a very quick glance;

The replica's have no stamped markings at all. Genuine wheels have these stampings as they made from Forged aluminium and the offset and width sizing when made at the factory are shown.

It's a big mileage discrepancy, so as per above, check thoroughly. Also check for the E46 M3 known common issues/faults - subframe cracks etc etc.

Cheers, Dennis!

Look at the bolster wear and shine on the steering wheel and leathers.

No way that has done under 8k miles ! lol

To the OP, I think you need to do some proper research if buying to flip, you clearly don't have enough knowledge of even the basics yet and will end up getting shafted.

It has done around 70000 miles according to the add, probably more. I think OP made a mis-calculation between miles and kilometers, thats all.

Edit: It can be tricky for non-swedes to figure out the milage since we measure our kilometers in what we call a "mil" which is 10 km's, and the car in question has 110000 km's or as it is written in the ad, 11000 mil...

Another one on the fishy smell count.

It looks like the exhaust rubbers on the back are badly shot. As for the leather the Nappa seats never wear the best due to being so soft.

It depends what kind of BMW they are fitted to imo, my old 1995 750 had nappa leather that looked like this after 245000 km's
