There is also another M5 touring on Autotrader at the moment but its been mis-labeled and shows up when looking in the regular 5 series touring section, needless to say I still look through the adverts on an almost daily basis and think why the hell did I get rid of mine....
That looks in remarkably good condition for a 100k miler!

Yes - I was ready to go and look at the one on PH - literally on the plane waiting to take off for Newquay - when the co-pilot felt ill and had to be taken off....I gave up when they said there would be a 7 hour delay. I read from the E61 buyers guide that the E61 lacks in the exhaust volume department so I wondered if I was best off getting a saloon instead. Any comments on the sound of E61 v's E60?
It's not quiet that's for sure tbh it's
Just right for me.

There is zero difference between the salon and tourer.

If noise is something you are after, 1k on a back box will soon change that.

Interesting, I wonder why that topic is so well represented in the forum along with suggestions of poem exhausts, removing the silencers etc. I don't want noise for noise or volume sake - but I do want the beautiful natural exhaust note that I've heard on saloons - I suspect it's something that most E60 owners would have in their top 3 best attributes of the car

I ran a saloon and touring for the best part of 8 years and to my ears at least there was no difference in sound between the two. What I can say though is as good as they sound from within the car, they sound bloody amazing from outside, I regularly see two different black saloons on my commute and come rain or shine I always drop the windows to listen to them howl away from a junction or open up the taps a stretch of dual carriage way.

I had two back in the day and I wouldn't bother with an exhaust at all ,you lose the induction noise which is part of the appeal for me.

I had a Remus on my second one it was a brilliant noise but not for me it lasted about a week.

Batting down the autobahn at 150mph certainly makes it growl.

Another, real low miler this one. Not sure about the description as it's limited. Also has a nice dent in the front bumper.
