The S65 is designed to be able to use 95 ron because sometimes 98ron is not available.

However, all the figures for the for car are for 98 ron and using 95 ron will retard the timing, you will lose MPG and BHP, I think it was Thorney Motorsport or Evolve put one on the dyno and it lost around 15hp on 95.

There is no cost benefit running 95 ron, in fact it may be more expensive as you will lose more in MPG than you will save at the pump.

There engine sounds much smoother once it has adapted for the 98 ron, but will take 2-3 tankfuls to do so if you have been running it on 95 ron.

95 Ron is your issue.
Baffles me when people say they cant tell the difference.

V power all the way, even the BP ultimate is crap.

Tick over is the tell tale sign if your car likes it or not. Even in my N55 335i it hated anything but V power.
My "M" cars on the otherhand Hated SHELL fuels, Tesco 99, sainsbury 97 were there preferred food.
