Grab a damp Microfiber with some fairy liquid (not much) and clean that sweaty steering wheel.

Nice colour that though.

Thanks for the input gents, i’ll have to give them a try then, i gather the massage comes as part of a better more comfortable seat package like the dynamic multi contour merc range.

If you add in my light ext / light interior then I may well be boxiing myself into a corner on this one if they are that rare!

I guess 640ds and pretrol equivilant are chippable to near on 500hp?

If so, it would open the possibilities up of actually finding a 6GT with these seats, would prefr an M6 mind.

Any owners had a range rover, s class, XJ, LS etc before? Ride comparison? Obviously i’ll try one but some insight would be good, could be another reason to go for a ‘lesser’ model for a presumably softer ride..

Love the rusty red! Betting thats now bmws name for it biggrin

Hi all, I have just sold my M6 GC after 2.5 years of ownership. I had a real love hate relationship with the car and keen on anyone else's feedback on same. My issues were :

- Unable to use power due to lack of traction, even in dry on MSS tyres it could struggle.
- The traction control, before you use MDC 'Hero' mode, cuts in far too early.

I found it frustrating that car really should be in MDC mode all the time but, while a small point, the yellow light on the dash then always on annoyed me.

I loved the car the look of it, the interior and the power when it could be hooked up. But for most of the time I may as well have had a 640. I would never think of traffic light grand prix with anyone as I knew 90% of the time it was impossible to use the power even with being nice to the throttle.

I am now seriously considering an G30 540i xdrive until the new M5 has had 1.5 to 2 years of depreciation hit. BMW for sure made the right call to move the M5 to xdrive.

this is one of the main things really stopping me from getting one. but is the traction issue really that bad?

Can't speak for a GC but my F10 M5 in anything other than perfect conditions was laughable.

There's a knack to pressing on that;s for sure. if you simply plant the throttle then you will be sitting there tyres burning rubber and everyone laughing at you. If you feather the throttle and control the 580 odd HP then you'll get away smoothly and very fast.

In winter it was shocking until I put winters on which improved matters to a point.

Still blood epic cars mind wink

Is there a difference in traction issues between LCI and non LCI cars ?

Mines an LCI and whilst I hear What his said about TC kicking in , it's no worse than another other high BHP RWD car...in fact a helluva lot better than the C63 I had and I find it decent to drive

I've had mine for 2 weeks now and find myself liking it more and more....initially I wasn't feeling it at all

An 07 plate Audi a6 3.0 TDI Quattro estate showed me who was boss earlier :-)....mine needs a wash to get rid of the soot left on it lol

Hey. Why were you not feeling the car initially?

I previously has an R8 v10 with a milltek exhaust...in comparison the m6 just felt and sounded anodyne.....obviously the two cars are not fairly comparable and I'm learning that the m6 GC is a pretty impressive piece of kit

I do think that it needs an exhaust....and I'll stick my neck out and say that I think it needs more power too but I've been in mega power cars (GTR etc) recently so my senses have been truly altered !

Yes. I have the M-Performance rear spoiler and diffuser.

Winter wheels were fitted when this was taken and uploading the picture seems to mess with the colour for some reason.
Looking good mate.

Where did you get the spoiler from? and how much if you don't mind me asking.

Was it easy to fit?

Spoiler was £460 including VAT, just from my local dealer with a good discount.

It just sticks on with double sided tape but it is very critical exactly where you place it due to the profile. Not made easier on my car because it has a full body paint protection film which is designed to stop things sticking to it!

I've had mine since October 17' now and its fantastic. I think its such a complete car, which apart from transporting the dog particularly well, does everything!

Few photos of mine as it is now:

Added a couple of carbon bits to the interior too which work well i think.

Where did you get the front splitter and rear spoiler, they look really nice on yours?

EBay seems to have a lot of stick on boot spoilers but the quality and fitment remain to be seen....I don't want to spoil 'er lol!

No worries! The rear spoiler is a bmw ‘m performance’ item and the front lip is from rwcarbon.com. The front lip simply bolts into the existing holes in the bumper too which is good.

When i had my m3 in EVO magazine, the A6 Biturbo diesel had jsut come out. If you got a bloody nose from that, we can all understand it... it had a huge amount of torque and power. and if it had been breathed on it would be very very fast in the realy world.

Dean Smith from EVO had one as his fleet car. I couldn't keep up with him on Bedford Autodrome...

But there is a huge amount of power on tap in the M6GC.... he will be happy that he 'smoked' you, but equally he was driving a diesel estate car..... so battles vs wars etc.....

I just don't see that being the case. I have a BiTDI a7 and yes its quick but st yourself slap your mama quick it is not. I would expect an M6 to slap it silly sideways going from 30 onwards. From standing yeah a bitdi would just swiftly pull away until the M6 came charging past you at XX amount of speed .

Obviously I didn't try too hard....I value my life and my licence as opposed the the nob in the Audi!

But it WAS genuinely rapid for an 07 plate TDI.....
