Yep it’s a coupe. Huge with bizarrely no rear leg room whatsoever. Probably why the GC is more popular.

Not had chance to take any pictures yet, but it looks exactly the same as the OPs, but obviously Coupe. Think BMW built a batch in this colour scheme and spec.

New member of the M6 GC brigade here. Picked it up yesterday. Absolute BEAST of a car. Epic in every way.

Coming up to 6 months of ownership myself. Crazy amount of car for the money. tend to dabble in some AT browsing to see what id like in 1-2 years time, even to get something comparable would mean throwing in at least 15k+

car is bonkers

Totally agree. No idea where to go from here... So looks like I’ll just have to come to terms with the fact that this car is properly satisfying and will likely stay for quite a while.

I mean seriously, what else is there at anything near the price that is such a capable, complete and rounded package? It’s also beautiful to look at and incredibly rare.

Coming down the track, I could see an M8 GC being a credible candidate if it happens, but it’ll also be a few years before such a thing gets into the price range I’d be prepared to pay.

Panamera? Too ugly and too pricey. Aston Rapide? Just not as well engineered. Mercs? Too ugly and crude. Maser? Would be like going back 2 generations in tech. What else is there??! smile

(Obviously I might be suffering a bit of rose tinted spectacles, but I am in the honeymoon stage after all...)

Can anyone tell me when the M6GC facelift came in, and what are the changes?

February 2015 production. Main visual change was to the headlights which support full selective beam. Other changes were to the standard equipment, full leather and M Multifunction seats became standard, There was an earlier change to the iDrive controller to support touch, March 2014. Competition pack power went up to 600 from 575 at some point too.

Re LCI - it’s an interesting situation. I wanted the new IDrive but wanted the original M6 seats as I hated the new million way adjustable seats. It’s a personal thing but I think the original seats are cooler and adjustable enough. As for the lights - not much in it. Such a great all round car and very well equipped regardless of which one you get.

congrats Subirg on a fine selection, being my cars twin I'm biased somewhat smile

in a week's time I will have had mine for a year added 8000 miles and it's still making me smile and look back when I park it.

I'm still mulling a boot spoiler and asked earlier if anyone had fit one but the response was nowt so maybe no one else has put one on? The orange car (RichardM5) has one but maybe it was on when he bought it?

I fitted the spoiler to mine. It's the BMW M Performance part. Quite easy to stick on, it's just double sided tape, peal off the backing and carefully place it in position.

Here's a few images i've posted before, but you should be able to see the spoiler. The BMW item is worth getting, really good quality.

Thanks guys that's really helpful and you both have both spectacular looking cars.

I had a look and the BMW item is £500 + and it looks from your pictures as though it's a constant smooth size across. I quite like the look of the forked or tongued effect such as this example, but difficult to gauge quality? you usually get what you pay for I suppose.

It is smooth, but has a small groove about 2cm in from the trailing edge. I’d imagine the fit is exceedingly important as it’s a complex profile where it attaches. Also weight is important, too heavy (which is pretty liight) and it will upset the counterbalance of the boot lid.

No experience of the eBay item, but it looks pretty cheap if it is genuine Carbon Fibre.

I think the OEM spoiler really suits the silver car above, but not the orange one. Just my opinion and possibly just the pictures.

The eBay one looks very Halfords and surely has no place on an M6.

Love the front splitter - is that a BMW item also?

Has anyone gone down the aftermarket exhaust route? is there any that are compatible with BMW warranty? e.g. AC Schintzer?
