Great city, I spend a lot of time there and always pop into the museum at leat once a year. More of an art gallery than museum though in my opinion.

On my bucket list. Will probably do a couple of laps of the green hell on the way back to tick that off as well. Done the ring on a bike (R1) a few years ago but need to do it on 4 wheels now.

I didn’t think much of the BMW Museum if I’m honest, and I’m an M3 owner as well. It just lacked some spark. The Mercedes and Porsche Museums are much better (and you get a 25% discount on one when you show them the ticket of the other). Stuttgart is on the way as well so it’s not a big detour either.

Going to Munich for BMW Welt on the weekend with a couple of friends. I've booked an X5M, they've booked an M140i and an M6.

Is there anything I need to look out for or anything that's spectacular?

I agree. The museum had some nice cars in it but it could have been so much better.

As I understand it they rotate stock. There was only one art car there when I visited and I was told that they change those. Not sure if that's right but it makes sense.

When I was last there, they had the full art car collection on display!

First time I went it was having some renovation work done, so very few cars to see.

Great weekend at Welt on Saturday and the Museum on Sunday.
Good collection of cars and the X5M is a lovely car to drive slow and very, very fast.
