If it were my money Id be looking at a low mileage 2016 comp pack with all the important suspension revisions

Were comp pack cars and non comp pack cars affected here, how do you know it its got revised suspension if that's what you are talking about?

Thanks in advance.
Based purely on what I've read I get the impression you need a 2018 model year car to get the latest suspension revisions. As others have said, I think BMW have been tinkering with the chassis on the M3/M4 almost since they were launched but if magazines like EVO are to be believed the latest incarnation is a definite improvement over the previous versions.

Having said that I've never driven an M3 or M4 on the road but frankly struggle to believe they were ever as bad as some motoring journalists made out....
