On another forum, someone was agonising over whether to keep the mileage down so as to maximise the resale value, vs driving a car he really enjoyed.
Someone else made the - highly non-pc - observation that this was like not sleeping with your current girlfriend in the hope that her next boyfriend would have a better time.
That said, an unmolested car is always going to be easier to sell.
