Thoughts on this car?
Discussion
Been looking about a bit, and was going for an E46, but seen this and think it looks great value, but thought id ask on here.
Looks to have the right options, price seems keen, mileage low and 12 months BMW warranty on it.

Ive put down a refundable deposit on it to hold it whilst i did some research, but thought id ask the opinion of those in the know!

OP it's got 4 previous owners with the last owner change on 27/10/2017 that would explain why the MOT was re done on the 26/10/2017 even though it had previously been done on 5/09/2017.
It looks like the same dealer was selling the car in September 2017 at £19,453, presumably when it came into stock. It could be the person who bought the car didnt like it or it was rejected. Go in with your eyes open.

Yep ... that bit has concerned me somewhat as well, and had it been a local dealer id probably have given it a wide berth.
I spoke to the dealer and he said that the guy bought it, and came back as wasnt the car for him after all.
Does make me wonder, but also thinking that if it was a 'dodgy' car in someway, BMW wouldnt be retailing it and guaranteeing the car either.
Wish i was closer to have a look at it, but its 150 miles away, still no worries for me to go see the car, and if i dont like it to not bother - rather lose £60 train fare than drop a load on a problem motor.
BTW - would it be worth me sending the previous owner of the car a message once ive bought it to see why he did return it, though granted bt then its a bit late!

You could ask to see the paperwork for them selling and buying back the car , before a sale if it’s a concern. You’re going to get the address on V5 so there’s no need for them to hide. I spoke to the dealer and he said that the guy bought it, and came back as wasnt the car for him after all.

If you’re messed around , request they pay you’re train fare. I did that and got 100£ compo
They can give warranty , but if it’s already a good price I can understand their reluctance.
You need to be asking to see the AUC check reports see how much work done on the car the first and second time around if you want an insight.
