My LCI F10M5 has same wheels and pretty full other spec... new owner spec'ed the 19" summer & winter wheel set which suited me grand... been a doddle to drive around over the winter and this week in particular. I'd driven 20" on test and personally feel the 19" are a smidge more smoother. Anyone with 20" are probably parked up this week.... only problem with the 19" are they are pig to clean ...little space between alloy and callipers...
Tooth brush gets in those holes

No, not really.....

Actually how does comfort in the F10 M5 differ from comfort in any other F10? Is that setting identical and then sport etc totally different OR is the entire suspension setup from a feel it in your pants drivers seat utterly different
I think it feels quite different. I have 20 inch summer wheels and 19 inch winters.

On the 20's I find the comfort setting to be spot on. Stable, but more compliant than other non M BMWs because the tyres are not runflat. 'Sport' does not add much and 'sport-plus' is a little to firm for UK roads.

On the 19's, with winter tyres the ride is a lot softer, so sport is an improvement.

I think there are quite a lot of suspension differences and the rear suspension in particular is bolted directly to the subframe without bushing.

Just found this blog, which is really interesting:

http://m5carblog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/suspension...

I didn't realise that the shocks were adjusted automatically by the stability system to hold the car level.

That’s a good read. I think a lot of them do that, reads very similar to the PASM articles on the 997

IIRC folding rear seats were still a cost option.

Ridiculous.

Do you have the ski hatch as standard?

Not sure but I'd be surprised if it was.

No the hatch and fold seats are not standard.

I've not got them on mine and I assumed they would have.

Amazing as it sounds, this is something making me considering selling it as theres a personal requirement for me needing this option.

I feel stupid for not even checking!!

I wasn't bothered about folding seats but agree it is ridiculous not to be a standard feature. Fortunately we have an xc90 that can swallow any old crap and then some! It must be possible to swap the rear seats but is probably a much bigger job than it sounds.

Yeah but its done 130k miles - It think 20k is expensive for a 130k miler given any potential bills - turbos, suspension refresh/bushes, gearbox clutches

I wouldn't buy an m5 with 130k personally. Plus unlikely to get much off from the trade.

Anyone looking at a £20k 130k mile F10 can't afford an F10 M5.

I think my heart lies in an F11 535d for daily duties over the M5.

If it weren't for all the anti derv chat I'll swap the M5 for a newish F11 but their desirability and values are dropping quickly and I hate losing money - or at least want to minimise loss as I buy stuff outright.

If BMW will put a warranty on it, who cares about the mileage, just enjoy it.

On the assumption you can get the BMW warranty on it - run this for a year put Day 15-18k miles on it what do the collective predict it’s value to be?

I mean this is the cheapest M5 in the U.K. by miles so someone will take it on and there is certainly a floor (plenty of E60 M5’s have big miles)

Buying this cheapest F10 M5 could be similar to that PH who bought that Ferrari 456 for £17k taking a punt on it.
