F10 M5 and rivals

I would never compare an M5 to a nissan GTR lol. A 911 turbo yes, an M5 absolutely not. And having driven all 3 cars, the Nissan is the last one I would buy.
Exactly... & I own a 911 turbo & an M5. GTR is a great car but lacks character & class imho. Yes I have driven a couple.Welshbeef said:

I’ve never seen the non 20” M5 F10 alloys in real life how do they compare?Iv'e never driven one with 20's so hard to comment on ride, but if anything like th e46 M3 then the smaller wheels may be a better bet for our ste roads.
I've no doubt the 20's are more desirable to have as an option mind

I prefer them personally - purely because they are M5 only, whereas the 20" look a bit '520d M Sport' stylee to me. Plus I hate diamond cut rims as they always corrode under the lacquer.

I’ve 19” on my F10 ride is fine (though in sport go over a pothole and the crash is bloody hard/no suspension comfort it rides far better but wolllows)Iv'e never driven one with 20's so hard to comment on ride, but if anything like th e46 M3 then the smaller wheels may be a better bet for our ste roads.

Actually how does comfort in the F10 M5 differ from comfort in any other F10? Is that setting identical and then sport etc totally different OR is the entire suspension setup from a feel it in your pants drivers seat utterly different

My LCI F10M5 has same wheels and pretty full other spec... new owner spec'ed the 19" summer & winter wheel set which suited me grand... been a doddle to drive around over the winter and this week in particular. I'd driven 20" on test and personally feel the 19" are a smidge more smoother. Anyone with 20" are probably parked up this week.... only problem with the 19" are they are pig to clean ...little space between alloy and callipers...Iv'e never driven one with 20's so hard to comment on ride, but if anything like th e46 M3 then the smaller wheels may be a better bet for our ste roads.
