Do you have a link to that deal, just googling found me...
Model BMW M4 Coupe Competition Package & Seven-speed Double Clutch Transmission (M DCT) w/ DRIVELOGIC
Term of agreement 48 months
monthly payments of £599.00
On the road cash price* £66,150.00
Customer Deposit £5,999.00
Retailer Deposit Contribution £5,221.50
BMW Financial Services Deposit Contribution £1500.00
Total Deposit £11,802.39
Option to Purchase Fee £0.00
Optional Final Payment £25,236.31
Total Amount Payable £53,389.31
Amount of credit £60,888.50
Rate of Interest 0%
Representative APR 0%
Excess Mileage (Pence per mile) 16.498
Contract Mileage 32,000 (8,000 per annum)

So with contributions the deposit is well over £11k and the monthlies are £600.
I was just plucking random figures.
That’s not an actual deal I have been offered but lines up closely with some figures been thrown around on some threads.

Even the figures you quote don’t add up or else I’m missing something.

It says total deposit £11,802 yet when you add up the three quoted deposits it comes to £12,720?

48 x 599 = £28,752 + £11,802 (or £12,720) = £40,554 (£41,472).

It then goes on to say optional final payment of £25,236 but the total amount payable is £53,389.

£40,554 (or £41,472) + £25,236 = a total amount payable of £65,790 (or £66,708) .........

More confused than ever

I ordered at the end of September - started at CarWow and ended up using Partridge BMW in Chandlers Ford, a 450m walk from work - helpful!!

Spec was:
M4 Coupe CP w/DCT
Mineral Grey
Sakhir Orange leather (it was a Friday...)
Black 666M wheels
Harmon Kardon
M Head Up Display
Sub protection glass
High beam assistant
Reversing camera
Comfort accesss
Heater steering wheel
Speed limit assist
Apple car play prep
Service pack

Can’t remember list price - but end price for the car I negotiated was £58.5k. I put £500 in, dealer £1.5k - ended up £680 pm, 48 months, 12k per year - 0% APR.

I was pretty happy with the deal and the monthly figure came out pretty close to the 3 + 35 lease deals I was seeing but that price was without options and more cash upfront.

I see it as a quasi-lease deal with less down on day one and a shot at some equity at the end (rather than no chance with a lease) but i had the chance to spec as I wished with options too.

Pretty happy with the deal. Roll on delivery in December.

One bad thing about 4 year deals is the last 12 months without a warranty which will cost £1700 to purchase so factor that in, I'm getting rid of mine after 3 years in Feb as I don't want to get into that additional cost.

Think it was dropped for the 2019 model year (so last ones were probably built around June this year).

When in Reading Cooper 2-3 weeks ago there were no offers on the M cars (well the M5’s but not the M3/4)

I’ve just bought a 12 month old comp pack convertible.... I think I’d have bought a 12 month old car cheaper 12 months ago. There were loads of pre reg cars that were cheap and keeping all prices down.

Major price cuts on pre reg'd M4 competition at my dealer, £17k off list to make it about £53k.

Discounts on M2 Competitions too but I didn't look at those. No sign of 0% yet.

No idea, I can't get the child seats in the back (or can but it would be a ball ache) so didn't look any further into it.

Well after reading this thread I popped down the Dick Lovett in Bath and bought a new M3 competition pack .
0% finance and I also asked and got ( as I showed them this thread ) 9.6% discount , which was applied to the base car price before options.
I’m putting £15000 down and paying £402.65 a month for 4 years .
It’s an unregistered car but already built and in the UK
The RV at the end of 4 years on that will be Negative, good luck with it. These PCP deals ar never what they seem.

Unless we're talking at cross purposes (not sure what RV is) surely you want your settlement figure to be negative equity at the end?

That way, you simply hand the keys back and have "won", you've paid less per month than the car would have depreciated and ended up with a better deal no?

I was seeing these at sub 50 12 months ago although not great specs. Kind wish I’d gone for it.

Is there that much spec difference in them? This one was a beautiful colour combo and had DCT with HUD but I can't think what else you'd need in regards to spec?

You’re correct but you have to keep the car for the full 4 years or pay the negative equity if you want out early. Fine if you’re planning on keeping it but painful if not..

Why buy a car on the drip if you don't want to do what you've signed up to then? If you want to bounce in and out you should really pay cash or drop a huge deposit and expect the losses shouldn't you?

Your sweaty buttocks are your own problem, quite what you need to view to the side of your bumper I don't know?
