Is this the one that was up for sale at Arun, but now going to auction?

They had one with 39K miles.

I enquired abut it, they got back to me about a week later saying it was going to auction, so I assume it's the same one.
I ended up having to go away on a business trip anyway, so never went down there to view.

Don't know anything about it other than that I'm afraid, seemed a nice car in the pics, but without seeing it who knows?

Hopefully someone else on here can help you, or does the auction company have an inspection service?

i like the miles but these things can go wrong in a big way and if it needs new pads/discs etc then thats 2k already!

It’s chassis number makes it 209/222.

It’s eligible for the cheaper BMW warranty as it’s under 60k.

Assuming the service history is complete/correct.

Isn't that part of owning these cars secondhand? You don't pay 80k and suffer biblical depreciation but replacing worn/consumable parts has to be expected.

Actually I just bought discs/pads all round for £900 (asked Harry Fairbairn for a discount) and fitting is ~£200. Certainly no more expensive than any other car in this segment.

all i know is theres a fella on Twitter Mark Riccioni , car photographer, he has one and it doesnt make good reading (bills bills and more bills including one for £19,287 !)

cool cars they may be, not for me unless full warranty / low miles / 1 owner warapped in cotton wool etc

I'm still loving my second e39 sport touring and there was an interesting comment in the m5 thread from someone who had the m5t and a boggo e39

I sold my c6 s6 avant to get back into the e39 so not necessarily bothered about pace I have my Alpina and duc for that

I'm still itching for it though

It's no wonder these cars fall into disrepair if potential owners don't want to pay for the up keep, it's a shame.

Are we talking about the grey M5 tourer with 39k on the clock? Price started @ 34k and recently dropped to 26k?

If so the history is not complete and not serviced to schedule so adding warranty will be impossible. Also has a nice golf size dent in front bumper to the right of plate.
