You need to live a little.

Pretty much agreed. A few people have had their S85 engines let go. The vast majority haven't. It's a fab engine - in all likelihood never to be repeated. I wonder how the running costs of the cars compare over perhaps 100K miles to other cars with engines with an output of greater than 100bhp per litre.

As the old saying goes: "speed costs money. how fast do you want to go?"

I have just bought this, picked it up today.

Must say from the outset it’s in fantastic condition and having just been given a blast by my BMW Indy he says it’s as tight as the day it left the factory.

Few niggly things to sort which are being done this week and will be ready by the weekend hopefully.

Congrats! Nice lurking, 2.5 years with no posts hehe

Enjoy the car! A few niggles are par for the course I think on these. I've just had to replace several suspension bushes at the front of the car due to them splitting. I don't think I will ever experience a month without something needing to be done on it biggrin

It is luck of the draw. Keep them regularly serviced (every 6k max for oil changes) and do other preventative maintenance and they shouldn't be too bad. It's a V10 at the end of the day, not some 1.0 4 cylinder shopping trolley biggrin

Thanks Guys.

First problem is sorted, srs module faulty throwing up some errors, next on the list is a thorough service for peace of mind and then a detail to get it ready for the summer.
