Terrible pic, but this my car that’s finally arrived. Ordered mid August I think.

Don’t officially colect until Wednesday, so it’s still full of plastic wrapping (and desperately needs a clean too!), but I’m a happy boy now ??
Very nice, well done!

It will sit lower come collection time as from the pics it looks like the suspension chocks are still in from transit.

Have a lease one on order from v4b. In lbb with Harman kardon and sun protection.

Any leasers heard anything about predicted build dates as yet?

This is an interesting article comparing the Alpine and M2C:

Interesting indeed, not just for the comments about the M2C against the Alpine but also the comments about the M2C compared to the original M2. Earlier in this thread some were suggesting there had been no chassis changes on the M2C and that it was no different from the M2 in that regard; however, this article implies otherwise and is not the first I've read which suggests the M2C is a step forward over the M2 (perhaps not on a track where the extra weight is a downside but certainly where on-road behaviour is concerned).

On BMW's web pages for the M2 competition there's no mention of any chassis changes other than the brakes and the strut brace. Doesn't stop journalists from reusing incorrect facts though!

The part numbers on Realoem.com appear to be identical too. Maybe the springs?

I'd be the first to agree the comments of motoring journalists shouldn't always be taken at face value but there does seem to be a bit of a consensus that the chassis on the M2C is better sorted for road use than the M2. It's certainly not unheard of for BMW to make tweaks and changes without publicising them (the E46 M3 and M4 being just two examples) so perhaps they've done something similar with the M2?

More likely a simple valving change in the damper. I’m guessing that it’s a little softer. It’s common to soften up the spring/damping combo of the driven wheels when a car gets an upgrade in power and torque. The front end may also follow to keep a balance.

Well slight delay in collecting mine tonight. The phone rang 45 mins before I was due to collect, to tell me the car is leaking petrol and needs the fuel pump replaced! Part won’t arrive until tomorrow, so another 24 hour wait until I receive mine. The manager came over to apologise to me, and I’m being given a full tank of fuel to compensate (hopefully it doesn’t leak straight out again laugh)

Hopefully this isn’t a bad sign of things to come...

The cynic in me wonders... fuel pump was fine as the car was driven out of the factory. Onto a transporter. Off a transporter. Onto a ship Off a ship. Onto a transporter. Off a transporter. Around at the dealer. And suddenly now it springs a leak?

Car collected! No smell of petrol which is good! Collected on 32 miles, now up to 103 miles

My previous car was a 640d, so in terms of interior quality, this M2 is quite a step down in some places (to be expected though). Not a huge fan of the new dash style, but I’ll live with it. The manual is pretty good, it’s no S2000 box, but it has a nice solid feel to it. I’ve not taken it past 3k rpm yet (it’s already below 3 degrees where I am, wet, and brand new rubber means I’ll be staying careful for a while yet), so can’t say much about the power of it, but I’ve driven a previous M2, and an M3 comp, so I’m looking forward to wringing it out!

Some more terrible pictures since it’ was dark when I collected, so I’ll get some more this weekend!

I’m also waiting on a V4B lease - expected delivery Feb/March as I only ordered a couple of weeks ago (snuck in on the cheap deal by the skin of my teeth).

I’ve advised on the order form that I don’t want a driven delivery and would prefer to collect myself from wherever it is PDI’ed - anyone idea where that is?!

Looks great in Black!

I’ve had an email fromV4B updating me that my car will be at the dealer late January! I repeatedly said I wanted as late a delivery as possible and was told end of April was the best they could do so I’m hoping this is just an eager back office staff member giving a best case in their view.
