I used to get about 250 miles to a tank, either by commuting or by doing longer journeys and not sparing the horses... Twas fun in both.
The S55 felt like much more of a tool than the B58 (both pre-suffocation stuff).
B58 is super torquey in the middle but the S55 loves the revs. Feels like it would rev much higher given half a chance! The S55 felt like much more of a tool than the B58 (both pre-suffocation stuff).

That looks OK but the mileage looks a bit low, I've got an M2C coming and it's a 9 + 23 on £419 inc VAT on 10k miles per year. If 6k is enough for you then that's great. Consider that the excess mileage charges are high (well they are on mine).
So you pay 9 x 419 in the first month of ownership and then 419 every month after that for 23 months I'm guessing.A 2 year ownership timeframe, at the end of the two years hand back the keys and walk away?
Apart from a mileage restriction what else is usually built into these type of deals or what other options are available?
Bit of a thread resurrection but I thought I'd post some pics, I always had problem with the standard rear exhaust for the M2c, more specifically that awful "cow udder" that hangs down:
So decided to go with an Eisenmann system which (whilst looking 10x neater) ended up being too loud as my car has aftermarket downpipes and mid section:
But now I've painted the standard exhaust black and it looks much better, all it took was some VHF (high temp) paint and some patience. Lots of guys on another forum have done the same and it seems to hold up well to chips etc.

Has anyone else changed their exhaust - which systems have people gone for?
I’ve got a Milltek race system in mine.Sounds ok but can be better.
Also loses the massive lump of metal from under the car.
Milltek are currently trying to develop an equal length system to bring back the 6 cylinder sound lost with the addition of opf’s.
Considering an M2C acquisition currently; any views on the sweet spot for spec must haves?
Ideally looking for a pre-registered effectively new car to reduce the depreciation hit but also would like the big brake option, which seems to rarely if ever feature on dealer specced cars.
Has proved to be an interesting experience trying to engage with main dealers and not sure I'm brave enough to risk a private sale...
Pointers welcome

I’ll point you in the direction of Lloyd’s BMW in Newcastle.
Bought mine from there and they were great (and I’m in Nottingham so not local)
Spec wise, most of the pre reg seem to have comfort and plus packs, which were must haves for me, as was orange stitching instead of blue but orange seemed to be thin on the ground at the time (and it depends what exterior colour you go for as to it complementing each other)
You may find one with the service pack too.
The BBK I can’t really help with.

Cheers - what is the Milltek system like on startup?Sounds ok but can be better.

Thanks. Strangely enough, I have been speaking to Lloyds in Carlisle and they have been a bit more helpful than more local dealers I have tried.Bought mine from there and they were great (and I’m in Nottingham so not local)

Let's see what the run into the March reg change brings...

I bought a pre-reg in November, comfort/plus packs and apple car play. I paid £45500 including the running in service. The car would have been £55800 new. Have a nationwide search on the BMW website for used approved and also PH/Autotrader etc . You can then use this as a bargaining tool if you find one locally. The moment I mentioned another car at a dealers and said I would go elsewhere they caved in. Also try negotiating towards the end of the month when they maybe more receptive.
Spec wise I definitely wanted the comfort and plus packs. As for the big brakes I've read that they add alot of weight, but the standard brakes seem excellent imo.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Out of interest, why are you keen for the big brakes?Ideally looking for a pre-registered effectively new car to reduce the depreciation hit but also would like the big brake option, which seems to rarely if ever feature on dealer specced cars.

Just my preference, 'though I imagine the standard ones will be more than up to the job.
IMO the big brakes are an excellent upgrade to have. Whilst certainly not essential, they look fantastic and go great with my HS car. The standard brakes are fine and up to the job for sure if you struggle to find a car with the BBK.

We know a few people with the big brakes and several have had issues with loose stones getting caught between caliper and wheel, meaning lots of scraping noises and in a couple of cases damage to the rim because the usual "throw it in reverse and drive over a bump" didn't dislodge the stones. They're also very heavy, adding around 16kg of unsprung weight to the car.
If you're going to be tracking the car then i can see the value in the bigger brakes, but as a (fast) road car (and both our M2's work hard for a living!) we haven't found the standard brakes lacking at all.
Just my £0.02, your results may differ, etc.

I went for the M2 Plus Pack, reverse assist camera and Apple Carplay when I ordered mine. The only one that I consider a must was the plus pack with the other two being nice to have options. I decided against the comfort pack as that comes with Keyless entry which I am not too keen on due to issues around car thefts..Ideally looking for a pre-registered effectively new car to reduce the depreciation hit but also would like the big brake option, which seems to rarely if ever feature on dealer specced cars.
