Hi
Looking at getting my car re-mapped when this chaos is over.

So the question is.... Litchfield or Racechip? Litchfield are incredibly respected but racechip GTS black comes with £8k cover for engines?!

Suggestions please

An Engine is 25k.

The only tuning I’d want in warranty is the ACS one but it’s 4.5 grand for another 90 BHP and retains the warranty.

I considered a cheaper box but the fitting of it put me off;If it has a fault or you need to remove it it’s a pita and there were no independent figures to back them up.

My car runs Bootmod3, tuned through the OBD so no tuning boxes/taking anything apart. Currently 560bhp but there is a choice of tunes. http://www.bootmod3.net

+1 for Bootmod3.

I just have a bigger intercooler and pipes so have applied the Stage 1 map, the result is about 410HP but the main benefit is the improved power delivery which is much smoother and me linear. I'm not looking for any more power so any future upgrades will be suspension and brakes.

FTW

I’d go Litchfield or RS Tuning. Both very well respected but I’d do it until after the warranty is up.

Are the intercoolers the same as the M3/M4s?

Seems a lot of effort for what, 5 or 6 bhp increase?!

I think it's the regular M2 so it's quite a healthy increase.

How risky is it?

Correct. Sorry I should have mentioned that I have a non-comp M2 so the gain is about 40bhp. But the biggest benefit is driveability.

Picked mine up a week and a half ago. Couldn’t have timed it better laugh

Couple of questions - has anyone installed Ghost, what sort of cost for PPF and also GAP?

Very nice car. Does it have the black option alloys or the standard option. If its black any chance of a side view pic so i can see the cars gorgeous colour

with the black option wheels.
Sorry for the late reply - I tried to reply last week but kept getting a 403 error message. I optioned the plus pack so the car does have the darker alloys - side view pic below.

Quick question, on the test drive I couldn't figure out how to get a digital speedo on the instruments, subsequently I've read a downloaded owners manual and cant find it in there. Does the M2C have a digital speedo?

Yes it does , you press the button on indicator stalk until it cycles through to the speedo.

Try discount code MSE25 on ALA's website for a 25% discount on the GAP insurance.

And I have an equal exhaust system on mine.
And bypassed the ASD...
Im looking to pick up an M2c after lockdown and the noise is one thing that bothers me too. If you have OPF filters removed does this mean your car is mapped or is there a work around?

Any vids of the equal length system? Assume thats Milltek, probably answered in other posts.

All my filters and cats are still in place.
Yes, Milltek, and no - I’ve not taken any sound clips.
It’s pretty pointless really as listening to it on either your phone or speakers just doesn’t give the real sound.
I’ve had mine on since Feb and now think I prefer it in efficient mode where the valves open at 4K anyway - it has a gruff sound to it and is very noticeable over the oe exhaust.
In Sport / + it has quite a rasp at higher revs and whilst lots will like it, (I don’t dislike it) it’s possibly a little to much for me.
I’ve heard some of the US guys with the same system but obviously they don’t have the OPFs, and they really are a bit ott sound wise.

All that aside, this exhaust really does make the car that bit better.
Also worth disabling the ASD.

I’ve also now got rid of the bloody awful blue callipers - had them painted and whilst not quite as dark as I’d hoped, I prefer to the blue..
