We have just collected a new M2C. Fantastic deal, both packs, in AW.
Wasn't able to get a test drive due to 'the situation' but I thought it would be a similar steer to our F80 M3 so felt comfortable to buy without a drive.
I couldn't have been more wrong.
Does anybody else find the steering weird? It reminds me of an old car with a worn steering box. Very vague, with a slight delay to any inputs. Seems to need slightly preloading, like there is loads of play around the straight ahead. It is so massively different to any of my previous BMWs, and there is even less feel than previous front & four wheel drive cars, which I wouldnt have thought possible.
Checked tyre pressures, and of course I will mention it at the RIS but I expect it will be a case of 'they are all like that sir'.
I havent seen any mention of this peculiar steering from any reviewer, except by Jay Emm when I looked on YT yesterday. His credibility as a driver / reviewer has increased in my estimation for picking up on this but it doesnt help me now!
Dont know if I can live with this peculiar steering on a daily driver.
Interested to hear what others think of the steering.
These are the traits my F31 has on stock BMW geo, my local specialist sets it up less conservatively and it’s night and day better (at the cost of some tyre wear.Wasn't able to get a test drive due to 'the situation' but I thought it would be a similar steer to our F80 M3 so felt comfortable to buy without a drive.

No drone whatsoever - in any mode or any speed.
I have the basic silver tips but think they’re all the same size.
I’ve had this exhaust on for over a year now with no issues.
Milltek actually used my car to develop this system.
Thanks for that, tip size looks spot on not sure who's tips it is I've seen but i think they look a bit to try hard when they're any bigger.I have the basic silver tips but think they’re all the same size.

Good video here comparing stock to Milltek.
From about 4 mins in there’s db readings in all modes.

Great video (and top Borat). From about 4 mins in there’s db readings in all modes.

Looks like it'll be too loud for track unless you can disconnect the valves to keep them closed.

I did wonder about disconnecting the flaps for track days to keep the noise down, just couldn't make up my mind if it would have any adverse effectsLooks like it'll be too loud for track unless you can disconnect the valves to keep them closed.

Even in Efficient mode the valves open at 5k revs, so I assume that’s for a reason?
Id have thought so, leaving them closed id have thought would increase back pressure which id imagine isn't good for the engineTX.

So a mapped car (Litchfield) being sold as an AUC ?
Or has the map been removed?
Doesn't matter if the map has been removed, they will still void the drivetrain warranty as there are tell tales left even after map is removed. BMW have software that automatically flags it whenever it's plugged in at the dealer so when you're caught you're caught. Or has the map been removed?

BMW appear to be refusing warranty claims with any modifications now, so wondering how they get around this.

Chris claimed it wasn’t mapped but did have an Akra fitted.
I also think this car was delivered after Bosch locked the ECU and so far there isn’t a solution to unlock it.
They're only locked via the OBD port, but it's still just as easy to "bench" unlock it as it ever was - bit of a headache for using BM3! I also think this car was delivered after Bosch locked the ECU and so far there isn’t a solution to unlock it.
