Good man! What sort of discount did you get?
Thanks thumbup

Worked out to be just shy of £22k off list (so about 22.4%) + Autoglym treatment in and out thrown in for good measure.

Roll on Friday - it's my birthday and I've got myself a cracking present to pick up yes

Congratulations, a lovely present to yourself!.
Love Donington Gray which I bought sight unseen on my X5M, think it really suits the M5. Hope the sun shines Friday....

Well done, you could have done better.........but if your happy that is all that matters, Churchill insurance Co now do not require me to fit a trackerbiggrin

That saves me a lot. Best regards.

I could have done better too I think frown but hey ho!

I tried LV, they did not want to insure me! £4,800 quote laughlaughhurl

I've ended up booking in a tracker to be fitted as the cheapest quote I could find wanted one and the combined cost of insurance and tracker added up to the next cheapest quote!

When I looked Aviva wanted £530 for the standard m5 (the one I highlighted a could of pages back) and only charged me £390 for my rs6 performance I bought instead. Might be worth giving them a try?

I tried Aviva (online quote) and they wouldn't provide me with a quote.

I never get great deals like that. I tried Churchill and they want £2100 to insure me.

I've been following this thread with great interest, as I'd love to own an F90 M5...although realistically it's probably 18 months down the line for me, money wise.

I'm bewlidered by some of these insurance quotes, though. £428 for an M5. How is that even possible? Fair play to you. I pay almost £600 for my 440i M Sport. And I've got a clean licence, aged 52, living in a quiet sort of area 60 miles north of London. Need to ring my broker I think!

Forget Brokers, no deals there, use the internet and all comparison sites, my 2018 M8 was £323.00 fully comp in Norfolk, full no claims no points, car in locked alarmed Garage.

Thanks. I might be living in North Norfolk this summer so I'll follow your lead...although not in an M8 (I wish!). Maybe an M5 in the not-too-distant future though. All being well.

I’m with LV also paying about £1200 for my F10 with 3 or 6 points (can’t remember exactly).

Expecting to get shafted in renewal as they have just paid out for a stolen golf R on the same (multi car) policy.
