F90 M5 Competition

Thanks.
Yes I understand that it has a rear wheel bias and power is sent to front wheels when needed.
In all but 2wd mode there is a constant variation in this power distribution between front and back.
My question was more to do with specific settings ie MDM and DSC off in 4wd mode. Are these best avoided when it's wet/cold?

RE: M1 M2.
Firstly I would stick to "Comfort" steering unless perhaps when on a long motorway journey where "Sport" is less fidgety.
Myself I leave the DSC on all the time.
The times I have run in MDM the car can get pretty lively even in the dry with some snap oversteer.
Even with DSC ON you can still get the rear of the car moving around and all four wheels can spin up in the wet.
I would suggest leaving DSC on at least for a good while till you settle into the car.
My settings are:
M1 Sport Sport comfort
M2 Sport+ Sport+ comfort
Full DSC on for both

In M2 you have suspension in sport +? Do you find that useable on UK roads?

Yokohama or Hankook tyres aren't good enough?
Vs Michelin Pilot 4 S super sorts - materially worse. It’s why BMW fitted them with such good rubber not cheap brands. Plus you’d have to buy 4 hooks or Hancock and then sell off the 3 part worn Michelin
My friend just got a new Audi RS5 and it's got Hankooks as well.
I always thought they were considered to be a mid range brand and not an OE supplier.

I'm a bit confused by the mode buttons on the LCI M5C; there is a road and sport setting. We already have M1 and M2 buttons that give you two completely customisable settings, so what purpose do the road and sport mode settings serve?
Thanks.
As I understand it, and I’m not with my car at the moment and can’t check, in sport mode MDM is disabled, you can’t disable it in any other way eg using the M buttons. The M buttons can only change engine setting, suspension setting, steering settings, stop/start on/off and DSC on/offThanks.
Sport mode also changes display setting on instrument panel and allows M head up display to be used. I find this particularly annoying as I have always used M head up display for 15 years in all my prev M cases and now, if I want to use it I have to switch off MDM which is not always desirable.
In answer to your originals question, I prefer steering input to be sport, in M1 and M2 (I find sport + to lack feel and is quite heavy). I have engine in sport in M1 and sport+ In M2. I have suspension comfort in M1 and firm in M2
You can also set stop/start off in M button settings which is great. I keep DSC on in both buttons. You can always switch it off separately if you really want to.
So whenever I start up I hit M1 and MDM buttons
Hope that was of some help, I’m sure I’ve missed some bits though.

So the M5 I was hoping to get has been delayed.
This has come to my attention. They've recently dropped the price by £3k.
Any tips, inside info, advice and thoughts welcome...
Those seats look like they did quite a bit more than 16.000 miles and the steering wheel is very shiny. Not sure I would go outside the AUC network for an M5.This has come to my attention. They've recently dropped the price by £3k.
