I tested this a few times today following your post. Non-comp F90. I have M1 set to Auto gears. When I knocked the lever right for manual, it took M1 mode off the screen (as I'd changed the gearbox setting so was no longer in that mode) BUT it kept all other M1 settings i.e. Sport throttle, suspension, steering and MDM traction control. (Standard settings are comfort all round).
Is yours is a Comp pack given it responds differently?
Excellent. Saves me remembering to try it out.
In addition [Deep], once you are in the state (M1 settings but in manual) if you press the M1 button again it should resume auto mode (and the rest of your M1 settings). Assumes the same as in a non comp car.

Aha! I think I get it now.
When pushing the gear lever to the right I saw the M1 icon disappear and just assumed that the car had defaulted to the start up, everything in comfort, mode.
You're saying that even though M1 icon disappears the engine, suspension and steering stay in the M1 settings? That's good news, thanks!!

But that begs one more stupid question on my part....

I'm in M1, I select manual so M1 icon disappears but I retain the other settings. Now I want to go back to all comfort mode....how do I do that?

Thanks for your help.

Press the M1 button twice.
First to bring the car back to M1 settings
Second press to revert back to the default comfort settings.

Correct.

Or in my case 3 times as I have traction on MDM in M1 so I have to press M1 twice to go into M1 mode as it asks for confirmation re stability control. The third time is then back to comfort.

Colour changes a lot depending on the light. Sometimes can almost look non metallic and then sometimes all the different coloured flecks pop

Thanks.
It's Brands Hatch Grey. I'll take some pics of the Silverstone interior later, that's also very nice.

If it wasn't for the 'cracking' noise I get from the trim it would be perfect, but hopefully that will be remedied.

Whats the general opinion on displaying cars number plates on an open forum?
Some people think its not a good idea.

Thank you very much.

I really can't see what the issue is displaying the number plate. Pretty sure you can't obtain my address or personal details from the plate?

I'm more careful about posting pics that would reveal where I live, in my mind that's potentially more dangerous.

Have a good weekend

I wouldn't do it myself although I don't have a real reason for that, just personal choice.

Presumably it would only be a member of the police or a DVLA employee that could use it to identify the owner's address?

Not just DVLA or police, no. DVLA sell access to data to many businesses such as parking companies and parking enforcement. Shady operators and I am not sure anyone actually agreed to the sale of their data by DVLA.

Ah yes I'd forgotten about parking enforcement companies.
