Anyone know how to permanently turn off the lane assist? Horrible bloody feature that just feels dangerous to me!
I think you press the button on the centre consul and it turnes everything safety wise off.T5GRF said:
Do they suffer any common issues?
I researched a fair bit when I was buying mine a few months ago, not a lot turns up for common issues other than the A/C screen cracking but that's done under warranty. Mines is needing done also. Squeaky brakes on non-ceramics too but that seems to affect most.

are there any must have options for future resale?
Having just sold my M4 privately after a valuation from plenty of dealers - if you're planning to trade in they really don't care, you'll just get CAP value regardless of options. Same with Motorway, WBAC etc. If you sell to a specialist dealer or privately, you'll probably want the comfort and/or tech packs to help resale. They're well specced as standard, my car only has M sport exhaust and soft close doors.
Thanks for the advice guys.
The market does seem a bit mad again for used cars, I got several low ball bids from bmw dealers today for my 7 series against an M5. I’ve actually sold the car in 3 hours tonight via a pistonheads ad for several thousand more than the trade bids..
Anyone looking to sell a 2019/20 M5 competition please feel free to Pm me.

Just about to stick mine on eBay tomorrow (sold the car in the summer). Official BMW 19 inch with `Michelin Pilot Alpin 5. Very, very impressed; surprising how many people think your fine on the Pilot Sport 4S summers. Also previously had Pirelli Sottozero (which I have in my Taycan) and they are superb also. Only hassle is selling when you come to get rid. £4K new and then £1,000-£1,500 back when you sell.

I’d be interested in those if you fancy a quick no hassle sale.Got mine booked in for a "vehicle check" and oil service as that's been scheduled for months. Looked at the app this morning and it's now advising air filter, spark plugs & micro filter all with a * by them saying these services are scheduled "dynamically".....anyone had this before?
