Got mine booked in for a "vehicle check" and oil service as that's been scheduled for months. Looked at the app this morning and it's now advising air filter, spark plugs & micro filter all with a * by them saying these services are scheduled "dynamically".....anyone had this before?
Some service actions are a function of the number of oil changes.
Which is why if you have an "extra" unscheduled oil service you have to tell the service centre not to log it on the iDrive.

This oil service has been booked for a couple of months. These extra services seem to have been triggered by the cold weather...i have checked it again just now and they've disappeared?

Imagine that is a frozen nozzle. The Volvo has heated ones...

Good luck with the new business - did you sell it privately or into the trade Marty?

Hello All

My car will be out of warranty at the end of January, but I plan to take out BMW's extended warranty.

Will I receive a letter inviting me to extend, or should I just sort this out online?

Thanks in advance.

Don’t call the dealer most don’t have anyone FCA authorised to advise on warranty. If it’s coming out of manufacturers warranty they’ll probably write to you but I think you might as well contact them directly they should be able to quote you now. They’ve just quoted me circa £800 pa for a 2019 M5 Comp.
Link to the insured warranty is here - https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/topics/owners/financial-s...

Thanks also JM, but in this case I'll go with T5's feedback - partly because the supplying dealer is not my local BMW centre.

I hope you get it sorted. I thought the annual cost was a bit of a bargain.

At c. £800 I would agree, so I hope I am quoted similar!

BMW contacted me to remind me that the manufacturers warranty would expire in July, and provided details for BMW assured warranty.

As long as you sign up before your manufacturers warranty expires, the BMW assured warranty is available at a much cheaper rate than if you wait.

Thanks Robbo

My car was 3 years old in Sept and I didn't receive any communication. It was an AUC so I assume from Sept to now has been under the AUC warranty, which expires at the end of Jan.

I've tried to get a quote off the link above (see T5), but it asks me for a PIN and reference per "invitation", so I presume there's a letter on it's way (delayed due to strikes!).

Any idea if the warranty cost is the same for end of AUC warranty and end of manufacturer's warranty?
My M4 was bought outside of the dealer network so I've been out of the loop for a few years. My F90's AUC warranty expires this year and I'm tempted to extend.

Side note - I've not tried out MDM or 4WD Sport as of yet.
Anyone who's came from an M3/M4 care to advise? I've been nervous about it as I've no experience with 4WD before the F90, so not sure how it'll react compared to RWD in MDM.

Currently running Pzeros with only a few K miles on them.

I don’t know - all of my Tesnet BMW’s have been bought as approved used cars under the AUC scheme. The AUC warranty is as I understand it more comprehensive than the insured warranty but it definitely cheaper to buy the insured product before the AUC expires. It’s also cheaper to add a warranty to a car that’s done less than 60,000 miles

As if on cue, letter from BMW Warranty Sales landed on the doormat about 5 mins ago!
