I will have a full set of Pirerlli tyres with good treads coming off my F90 M5 comp next week, putting new rubber on as I'm keeping the car now.
I will put an add in the for sale section.

I bought mine from that dealer too, impressive set up, they seem to shift quite a few M cars.
It’s an amazing dealership - the owners car collection on the top floor is pretty special too.
I’ve bought quite a few approved used BMW’s (and minis) over the years - Cotswold we’re excellent and so much better than any other BMW dealer I’ve dealt with. The standard of car preparation was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble.

Fitted spare 19in wheels with Michelin Pilot Alpin5 winters today (thanks to fellow PHer for passing on his old set) and what a massive difference to low speed ride quality - much more absorbent and supple, not so prone to sniffing out camber either.

Must remember they are speed restricted though when i am en route to the alps….

Hi All, Just wanted to share my selling experience - nearly 2 years since purchasing this great car, 10k miles later, I had to sell due to a replacement company car.

Placed ad on Autotrader and Pistonheads - non stop calls for the first 48 hours… purchased originally from Stratstone Hull 2 years ago for £67,999.00….sold privately for £60k.. was pleased with the outcome. Trade offers of £59k. Motorway was around £57k. Was the cheapest LCI for sale and the remaining 6 month warranty helped.

Whilst I will be sulking in my Taycan Cross Turismo, hope you all continue to enjoy your F90’s.

Thanks again for all the great advice and support on this thread

Not a bad place to sulk from. I'd love to get your thoughts on the Taycan I may have to follow suit in the not too distant future

Happy to share when the car arrives (moving from 600bhp+ to c400BHP will be a big change) - ordered Nov 2021. build date eventually offered in Feb 2023, car currently shows "en route to Emden docks" - had to lower spec from Cross Turismo 4S to a CT4 - company scheme had a list price cap of £90k...had to lower spec too, no pano roof, no BOSE (was removed from configuratior due to supply chain issues) - so have had to make a ton of compromises...lets see....its on the salary sacrifice scheme to some small positives.

Sadly it seems there's a lot more than just your salary that's being sacrificed yikes

Bit of a random one but back in 2019 I nearly bought an M5, non comp, but instead went for a used RS6 - something I regret to this day. Id agreed a stunning deal on the M as well.
I know a pher bought it a I posted it on here with full details of what I was offered (early 70s from memory) and he snapped it up.

Basically just wandering if anyone knows who bought it, how he's found the car, if he still owns it and just general thoughts?

Some pics;

I have a smoke white interior on my bay blue competition - it’s a beautiful colour.

Out of interest, what’s the “M tax” like on M5’s? 2018/9 non-competition ones can be had for around 50k from BMW now, and they’re tempting me quite a lot… Are servicing or parts costs going to bankrupt me?

I have a '69 plate non-comp, had it just over a year / 14k miles. Averaging almost 28 mpg as most of my miles are on the motorway. 2 new rear tyres were £575 (MPS4S), and I've had one major service (£924). I have just extended the warranty for a year (£875). Next up will be a brake fluid change at the end of this year, then an oil service middle of next year. I don't consider this to be bad at all for a daily driver with such capabilities and performance.

It's an awful lot of car for the money, I can highly recommend ownership.

Pretty certain I saw it on the M25 near Clackett Lane yesterday in tandem with a Brooklyn Grey M3 - not too many purple silk M5s about, I assume.

Glad you enjoyed it - I was so close on it but just liked the big Audi that little bit more

One of the slightly disappointing things about my car is how relatively quiet the exhaust is. I only drive the car with the exhaust switched to “valves open” but it does seem pretty tame on the noise front and switching the exhaust between open and closed seems not to make much difference. It could be I guess that my exhaust valve actuator is not working but wondered if anyone else had noticed similar?

Do you have the LCI version? I have had both (still have the LCI) and there is a huge difference in the sound between the 2. Loved the pops and bangs of the pre LCI and really dont notice the exhaust noise at all with my current one. If it wasnt for the warranty aspect I would probably have something done about it.

My car was registered I think in late March 2019 so no I don’t think it’s an LCI car.

Mine was Apr 19 and sounded insane. I'd say you have a problem.
