I was alongside a F90 M5 Comp on the M25 last night and my god the sound of it was awesome... The sheer presence of the car was simply stunning..
Everything about it just looks so damn right... It has just placed itself well and truly on my lottery win list now.. Totally smitten (and thats without even driving
one)
You can always try to win one on Revcomps...they have a black 21 plate one for this thursday draw.Everything about it just looks so damn right... It has just placed itself well and truly on my lottery win list now.. Totally smitten (and thats without even driving

I'm in.
Hi All,
I have managed to damage what I think is the front splitter (god knows how….). Can anyone confirm that’s what this is, quite soft and seems to be in 3 pieces. Only the drivers side is damaged by the looks. Seems fairly simple to replace myself so might take a stab if I can figure out what to order. Anyone have any ideas?
Ta!

2 months ago I had new front brake pads fitted at a main dealer, £550.
Last week the front brake pad wear indicator came on, showing c. 200 miles to new front pads, which I have since done.
I'm currently sitting in the dealership and have just been told that on inspection they didn't actually change the f***ing pads!!
EDITED to say: I take it all back. They have just me informed that it does in fact have brand new pads and it was a dodgy sensor last week....

Too speechless to be angry at first, although I can feel the anger setting in now, as I like to look after my cars and have got better things to do than drive around with f***ing worn out pads and keep revisiting BMW dealers. I love the car but this puts me off the brand - come back Lexus all is forgiven....
I'd be pretty f'd off with that to be honest - and looking for compensation whether it's the cost of the pads reimbursed or similar.I bet they upsold the pads in the first place citing it was dangerous and that they needed changed...
Raises questions about servicing as a whole from that dealer.

Edited to say: I take it all back and am now doubly reassured that it does have new pads! Raises questions about servicing as a whole from that dealer.

Just renewed this myself, you need it for all connectivity and remote services on the car - so without it no spotify, remote location, remote actions, etc etc
Is it not more about real time traffic info...The "Details" button gives a list of services included in the package.Remote services, Apple car play, Emergency calls, Teleservices and Connecteddrive services are all included for unlimited duration for me.
Maybe varies with age of M5

The new Connected Booster Package contains many digital services that could previously only be booked individually. Any digital service currently active in your BMW but included in the new Connected Booster Package will be displayed separately in the BMW ConnectedDrive Store product overview until your current contract duration for that individual service ends.
Afterwards, the service will be automatically transferred to your Connected Booster Package and given the same expiry date as your package. At that point it will no longer appear as a separate service in the BMW ConnectedDrive Store.
It would be annoying if I currently have unlimited CarPlay (for example) that then gets wrapped into this package I have to renew yearly. I’ll forego live traffic (which my phone can do anyway) to not have to pay yearly for CarPlay…Afterwards, the service will be automatically transferred to your Connected Booster Package and given the same expiry date as your package. I seem to have lost the ability to get a remote view from the car’s cameras on the BMW app, and the weather forecast is no longer visible on the iDrive. I can live without both of those.
The Sat nav map does seem to still be showing traffic, but maybe it’s a less good, non-internet based version? Who knows.
Summary - some bells and whistles have gone, but nothing I used or cared about. CarPlay still works fine. I suppose if I made use of the BMW apps on iDrive then it might be worth the subscription, but for me I’m fine without it so far. Maybe I’ll discover something on a longer drive that would be handy to have, but so far so good!

Brief update, in case anyone else is wondering what this provides!

give spotify a try, or even see if the option is still there under media I seem to have lost the ability to get a remote view from the car’s cameras on the BMW app, and the weather forecast is no longer visible on the iDrive. I can live without both of those.

Not listed - that said, I didn’t ever try to use it, so it might not have been installed.
this alligns with my finding, when i let it lapse (as i also wanted to see what disappeared) it uninstalled all the connected apps such as spotify, weather etc. Then when re-activated they came back.Anyone?
