Did you notice much improvement. I guess you spec’d them again if you thought worthwhile. I’d assume they’d last 100k

Did not spec them this time, took a stock BMW car which was on Southampton docks, fully loaded less TV and "M" performance delimiter.
CCB are great and keep wheels clean, these M Performance Brakes on this M5 CP are very good but a bit dusty, I have coated the wheels to make cleaning easier.

anybody tried to get a decent MPG figure from these? not the point I know but handy to know that today I drove back from york, around 230 miles, cruise control on at 70mph and returned 34mpg including some full throttle blasts out of roundabouts, overtaking etc which I thought was very good. didn't expect anything like that. 2018 M5 7000miles

Running mine in 25 MPG at the moment, mixed driving.

I'm amazed that they paid that much vs £78k for the M5 CP. You can buy a new M5 (non-CP) for just over £70k according to this thread. A cost to switch of £10k from a used M5 to a new M5 CP is remarkable!

Not surprised that you bit their hand off...
TBH I would not have accepted £58K I would keep it first. Not seen a new M5 for £70K, seen secondhand one's for £68/70K
Agreed just chit chat on here afaik.

600 miles in so far, being rather gentle side from the odd boat up to 5k rpm and 20mpg.

Mind you it’s all short journey driving and no opportunity to cruise at all.

Never found Coopers very keen to really do a good deal (and that's with 20 yrs experience of buying M cars). And had a horrific experience with a very low mileage M5 from a Cooper dealers just within the M25. Wouldn't go near that garage again.

Fair enough.... maybe that’s London for you? smile
I’ve bought 11 new cars from them since 2004, including four M’s, between myself and wife and never found anybody able to get near the deals they offered. Just goes to show how experiences can differ, but I agree a bad experience can sour a relationship.

I got a discount of £20,073 and that was the best I could find. I contacted 7 dealers including a couple suggested by contributors on this post and they all said £20k was the max they will offer.

I've done 650 miles so far with a mix of long and short distances and im showing an mpg of 22.8.

20 days in and I do love the car, I think it looks great in the Marina Bay blue and two tone Silverstone interior. It is much nicer than the F10 M5, a step up in every way. I liked my F10 M5, but I was always a bit disappointed in it and felt it wasn't the car it was hyped to be. It was such a boat and was shocking off the line, struggling for traction and the interior always felt a bit lacking.
This F90 variant just feels a more quality product, its a nice place to sit although I have noted the seats are a bit harder so less comfortabel on a long journey and the suspension is most certainly set up for handling over comfort. The interior looks and feels lovely and the infotainment screen is nice and crisp, I do wish the sound and infotainment would switch off when you press the power button and second time like it used to instead of when you open the car door. Anyone else find that annoying?
The set up makes it feel tauter and more agile so it's nimble for a car its size and weight. It does feel very stiff over bumps though, I keep whincing when i hit small potholes that I never noticed in the F10 which just glided over them, so I am living in fear of damaging an alloy and tyre but I guess i'll get used to it.
I also really notice a difference in how it takes off from static and low speed, just grips and no lag, obviously i'm taking it easy still as only halfway to it's running in service so I am looking forward to giving it a bit more throttle.

The exhaust is also another thing that is much improved, it was so quiet on the F10. Now with the sport exhaust it comes alive, though it could be turned up a little more. Put the throttle in sport plus and the M exhaust makes some great pops, burbles and bangs whenever you lift the throttle, which puts a big smile on your face if your a big kid like me. I found the F10 pretty much undriveable in sport plus around town but in this F90 it is super easy which means noises from the exhaust and terrible fuel consumption!

Please can someone let me know where (which web-page) you can see what M5's are currently available in the UK dealer network.

I know that an Essex dealership offered a £25k deposit contribution on an M5 - does anyone know if they are offering 0% APR (as they were on the F10)?

Many thanks.

25K will be the very best you can do, I thought these deals ended 1st April, NO zero %.

I’d wager these massive discounts will still be around this qtr, not sure about 0% finance however - bet that will happen at some stage.

I'm now up to 6.5k miles in ours (bought in December with 1k on the clock) and, despite the fact I wax lyrically about our previous RS6 and my other car is an R8, this M5 CP really stacks up very well. It is bloody superb.

The things that stand out most are the agility, the directness of the steering (the single most improved aspect versus the previous model) and the general tightness of body control.

What I don't like at all is the apparent inability to switch the f*cking thing off! It only turns off when all the doors of the occupied seats are opened which is just hugely irritating. Am I missing something here? Anyone know if the start stop button can be coded to work like previous models (two pushes to turn off)?

I find the switching off a bit odd too......

Press the button and f-all happens but it does (sometimes) switch off when I open the door.

Sometimes however it doesn’t and I hear music in my car as I walk towards to house.....

Previous BMW’s are switch off, iDrive dies and I open the door, not in my M5 smile

G chassis cars only switch off on door opening or locking if you want it to always shut down on opening keep your foot on the brake when you press the stop/start button otherwise it will stay on until locked.

It's a feature of the car same on the 7 series.

Quite annoying.

This could mean a software update, mine switches off as soon as open the drivers door, music turns off.
