I thought the dials in the dash were how you could tell....... Shows what I know!

Check the interiors between the two you have posted. Look at the buttons on the RHS of the gear lever. They are different. I’ve owned both.

Always happy to take advice! I think getting a 2021 will be the easiest way to make sure I get the LCI version. Bumps the price a bit though but definitly the one I want.

I guess that’s why you are asking for advice smile

Gone the other way and am looking at this one now! Bit more than I was planning to spend but nearly new and good spec and colour combo. Only thing that worries me is the potential for epic depreciation!

I have experienced the epic depreciation of these cars, I bought the original M5 comp brand new and lost £20k in 12 ish months. Not sure why I would allow myself to experience that again…….. 🤦‍♂️

mulling over the purchase of a 2022 M5 comp to run as a daily, they seem well priced now compared to an M3. loads on the market so i am sure there are deals to be done.

my question to those that run one now or have run one are

- whats the range like on a tank of super at sensible motorway speeds (75-85 ish), ie 350 miles odd and 25mpg is achievable ?

- and one car i am looking at has the 'ultimate' package, which includes pretty much all the options, anyone got any experience of the ceramic brakes ? i have them on my current GT3 and have had them on various past Porsche's and Ferrari's, generally i really value the advantages in terms of longevity and benefits the saving in un-sprung mass they bring.

thanks
I am getting mid 20’s in my 22 comp on a run so it is around 350 miles to a tank.

I managed to get a really good deal from a local ish BMW dealer for a highly spec’d car that was about 4 months old. Good deal on the finance package as well. They were very keen to sell the car.

Picking this beast up on Saturday. A new to me CP with a spec lists as long as my arm in Marina Bay Blue with individual smoked white interior.

Anyone else got a white or even Silverstone interior? I'm worried about the dreaded denim transfer any advice on how to avoid it or care for the leather?

This looks pretty much like the exact spec I just bought. I love the light interior, makes the cabin a much nicer place to be. I haven’t had any issues with keeping the seats clean so far, not going to worry about it too much to be honest. I had the pre LCI version a few years ago and the LCI is way better, almost the perfect car IMO.

Do you have Silverstone or smoked white interior? It sure does looks special I can’t believe how well this car does everything.

Next stop is a roof rack for away trips with the kids but the boot seems infinite so much better than my SUV.
I have silverstone

I thought this looked pre-LCI in the photo? There are several features on the pre-LCI which are better than the LCI version to be honest
The noise is the main thing, way better on the pre LCI version. The ride comfort is the biggest gain and happy to trade one for the other (purely based on the amount of motorway miles I am now doing)

I made them sort all the (to be fair minor) scratches and issues on my car before I did the deal. 100% reasonable in my view, wouldnt have taken the car otherwise.

One of the slightly disappointing things about my car is how relatively quiet the exhaust is. I only drive the car with the exhaust switched to “valves open” but it does seem pretty tame on the noise front and switching the exhaust between open and closed seems not to make much difference. It could be I guess that my exhaust valve actuator is not working but wondered if anyone else had noticed similar?
Do you have the LCI version? I have had both (still have the LCI) and there is a huge difference in the sound between the 2. Loved the pops and bangs of the pre LCI and really dont notice the exhaust noise at all with my current one. If it wasnt for the warranty aspect I would probably have something done about it.

Might be looking to move my M5 on if anyone's interested:

2022
Marina Bay Blue Metallic
merino/silverstone 2 interior
Visibility pack
technology pack +
Comfort pack+
9500 miles

Drop me a message if interested, will be up in a dealer for late £70's so can probably save someone a fair bit.

Hi All,

I have managed to damage what I think is the front splitter (god knows how….). Can anyone confirm that’s what this is, quite soft and seems to be in 3 pieces. Only the drivers side is damaged by the looks. Seems fairly simple to replace myself so might take a stab if I can figure out what to order. Anyone have any ideas?

Ta!
