F90 M5 Competition
Discussion
Great thread.
I am considering a lightly preloved 2018 m5 in the low £50k range. Seems like great value. 5k down and £600 a month (36 months) with a £28k bubble
I am also keeping my eyes peeled for any special Corona offers on a new one. I lived the deprecistion nightmare with a new m6 gran coupe that I bought in 2014 and will never make that mistake again. £15k off lost and 0% finance. Still lost £60k on her in 4.5 years.
I wonder what incentives will be made by bmw in early 2021. These cars surely aren't selling.
If anyone hears of any great deals pls let me know.

Ouch - sorry to hear that, but thank you for sharing. Hope all is ok now and for the future.
My view is that pretty much any (complicated) car these days has a fair chance of suffering a drama or two (my wife’s ex-demo Range Rover Sport has been SHOCKING - 10 visits back to dealer in 2yrs and now arguing with dealer over who pays for a replacement tailgate that opens intermittently when driving and got damaged as a result. Do not buy a RR! We have a lemon but I have heard so many problems with them, including from the dealer Service Mgr himself on the QT! ??
@c10vet - on your RR issue - this is a known fault due to water dripping past the tailgate gesture sensor - there is a fix for it...hope you got it sorted - wife has one too - you don’t have a lemon, they are all like that sadly. great cars when they work. Loving this thread as actively looking to get a M5 comp...dealers have cars with 2k miles for £65k now.......My view is that pretty much any (complicated) car these days has a fair chance of suffering a drama or two (my wife’s ex-demo Range Rover Sport has been SHOCKING - 10 visits back to dealer in 2yrs and now arguing with dealer over who pays for a replacement tailgate that opens intermittently when driving and got damaged as a result. Some people did exceedingly well last year with the non-comp run out, £30-32k discount translating to cars sold for around the £60k mark.
Now the best deals for LCI comp seem to be around the low to mid £80’s and 2.9%. It would be interesting to hear more from anyone who has bought recently.

I got a new £100k fully loaded non-comp for around £70k, I could have had a comp with lower spec for the same but didn’t think my lack of driving ability would notice the difference. Now the best deals for LCI comp seem to be around the low to mid £80’s and 2.9%. BMW were throwing these at buyers 18 months ago

So my car was in yesterday with a seat calibration fault. Whilst they had it I was informed it was due a recall for "fuel ventilation" which seemed to involve a factory reset of the software is it was plugged in for 4 hours ish. Anyone else been recalled for it?
TX.
And how does it sound now ?, does it still pop and bang ?TX.

Very nice - what are the options on it?I’m really coming round to the idea of replacing the long term F10 with one next year - hopefully they offer 0% as I feel that would really sway me.
Is it significantly better in LCI form with the improvements derived from the 8?

It's fully loaded, got the lot on it. Nice tech big screen, fast car.I’m really coming round to the idea of replacing the long term F10 with one next year - hopefully they offer 0% as I feel that would really sway me.

Improvements over the F90 Comp: quicker off the line and keeps on going strong, improved IMO.
Test drives required though to see IF it will suit you.
