If anyone fancies a set for track days or as a spare let me know. They are between 5.5-6.6mm and seem in good condition to me. Would let them go to someone on here for £350 collected.
I'd be interested if they're in good nick, defo MPS4S & are they the BMW Type Approved tyre with the *Lastly, whereabouts are you?
They came straight of a brand new M5 Comp that I purchased from Dick Lovett Swindon so do have the star and are definitly MPS4S & I cannot see any issues with them other than usual wear and tear. I am based just outside Wootton Bassett near Swindon.

That looks lovely!
Have manages to get a really good offer on a new Brands Hatch Grey car with comfort plus pack.
But Im really worried about reports that the new 2021 cars have lost the pops and crackles from the exhaust…
If this is the case, is there any way to get the sound of the car improved, or should I be looking for a low mileage pre LCI car?

I’ve had both models and the LCI version doesn’t bang and pop in Sport+ like the older one. Personally I prefer it that way, a bit more in mature. Also note the LCI has the M8 suspension which is a significant improvement over the pre-LCI version.Have manages to get a really good offer on a new Brands Hatch Grey car with comfort plus pack.

If pops and bangs are really important then it’s a AMG or V8 F-Type (which is insane!) that you should try.

I’ve got a v8 f type now, which is why I’m a bit worried.
Only changing it as I need more space….
From a sound perspective they’re completely different. The bang/pop isn’t like the F-Type, it’s more like an explosion in a dustbin, in the pre-LCI M5. I didn’t take to it. And I’m saying that from running a tuned and decatted V8 TVR Cerbera with flames coming out of the exhaust, some years ago Only changing it as I need more space….

PS. Nice MBB model, I changed from that which I thought was a fantastic colour, to donnie grey which I really like as well and stays cleaner longer I find

The suspension is a significant improvement from the pre LCI model, I didn't realise it was from the M8, thought it was just the box that came from that. I miss the noise from the exhaust occasionally but it's not a major issue for me. Biggest pain for me is that the M headup display is not available unless you run the car in sport mode. That's not the same sport mode that you set up on the M buttons, but the sport mode that disables some of the body/traction control. I cannot understand why on earth they would have done that after some 15 years of driving M cars with this.

I agree on the M button/Sport button changes. I think I queried it earlier on this thread. Makes no sense to have to mess around with two different sets of buttons when the M button did everything previously. PS. I'm in West Lancs so collecting could be an issue in the short term. Next visit down South is to Snetterton next weekend, but that's the wrong side of the country

Question from me.
Currently in a very well specced M6 Competition.
I did drive a pre LCI Comp car for 2 days and whilst it was fast and fun, it felt a bit 'numb'. The firmness didnt bother me too much.
The M6 is great however even with the Comp exhaust, is not loud enough for my liking. The pre LCI comp was more interesting. I know that since the newer models, this is muted.
I have been leaning towards either a Giulia QF or Stelvio QF, I love the feel of them however being a BMW slut, I keep coming back to M cars. Will a pre facelift non comp M5 or LCI Comp give me the 'feel' that I miss? Should I be looking at the M2 Comp, but then I give up too much luxury, perhaps newer M3/4 or something else?
Thanks

For the non comp M5 you need to have it in Sport+ throttle/Sport+ suspension/Comfort steering to get the best out of the chassis.
The car comes alive in that state....with the balance moving away from eventual understeer to neutral and even a hint of oversteer.
The price is that low speed uneven roads are annoying.
I have those setting above as M2 for when the roads open up.
