Chaps, it's been 2 years since I sold my pre LCI M5C, and I'm going purchase an LCI in the next couple of weeks.

I'm pretty sure the pre-LCI didnt have cabin pre-heat, does the LCI?

Bumping my above post for the midweek people. I'm pretty sure the answer is no...

Also, one thing that bugged me with my pre-LCI is the M wing mirrors. I assume that the upper housing is replacable with standard g30 covers? Or is the whole assembly different from g30?

I had a pre-LCI F90 M5 and pre-heating was not an option.

As to the mirrors, not sure what you want to achieve? The pre-LCI and LCI mirrors are the same (the second upper stem differentiating it as per established M "tradition"), do you want to fit non M/standard mirrors?

Yep. Standard Mirrors. I'm assuming they are plug and play given the amount of non-Ms I see with them fitted.

Only the mirrors you don't like, or will you also remove the bumpers and quad exhaust for the stealth look...? confused

I suspect the non-Ms you see have cheap aftermarket mirrors which are supposed to look like the M ones.
If you check realOEM you should be able to compare part numbers of the housing between M and non-M to see if it's the same. The case will be different but unsure about the housing it attaches to.

Well, the bootlid spoiler will be coming off too, and the badges; and I'll be seeking out an LCI non-competition grille and gills from the EU, assuming they fit and aren't too expensive.

I think the F90 M wing mirrors are too big and too plastic-y. And I dislike all the Shadowline that comes with the Competiton package. But we are restricted in the UK.

If I could, I would indeed opt for a less visually prominent exhaust - but that's far too much work.

And no, the answer isn't a B5 or 550i because this car isn't for me, but my better half, and she wants an M5C again, with some of the tat removed.

I had a Donny pre-LCI too. Doesn't mean I have to like the black grilles!

My car is due a service in May - plugs, oil, micro filters, inspection etc. Local Sytner dealers want £1100 ish to do the job, is this about the going rate these days or worth shopping around? I have extended warranty so I’ll have to use a main dealer really.

I thought £800 was the going rate for the big service going by what I've seen on cutters.
I'd ring about and see what is quoted elsewhere.

I had the 'Minor' along with front and rear diffs, transfer box and MOT done for £880 last year at the main dealers. I have the major due this year and I'm going indie from here on, been quoted £450 for that.

Thanks I did call 3 local ish dealers today and £1100 seems to be the average price, £800 seems about right but given I’m in Herts I’m guessing prices locally might be higher.

The 2023 M5C I just purchased came with a 5 year service pack...feeling pretty smug about it seeing some of the service prices.

Yes a service plan is very useful - my last 7 series had a 5 year plan.
It seems the £800 major service price some have obtained are with dealers in Scotland so I’m guessing the going rate dahn sarf is £1100 sadly…

Was there some sort of free service pack incentive from BMW UK to encourage sales back in 2023?
