Apologies and a bit of topic but I’ve only got a day or two before the build on M5 comp is locked and I’m debating driving assistant plus?
I don’t really do much Motorway driving or commuting so wondering if just a gimmick. Also when I tried in an X5 I found the way the lane assist kept grabbing the wheel to be a bit disconcerting.
Has anybody got this/any thoughts feedback on its value?
Cheers
I have it on mine and use it in traffic, it works really well.

I know of a stock M5 Non Comp with M-Sport Exhaust, Driving Assistant Plus, Premium Package and Comfort Package and finished in Grigio Telesto Pearl Individual Paint with Tartufo Merino Leather for £77,500. That's a saving of Just over £26k. List price with OTR charges would've been £103,645
I am looking to buy a in stock M5 with discounts of around £26k (or possible a new order)and one dealer tells me that you can no longer order a non comp M5 but you can configure them on the BMW website, so I am confused. Can anybody confirm if this is correct?

- driver assistance plus
- B&W
- sports exhaust
- m seatbelts

£3k deposit, 9k/yr and £799/mth

Have you driven a Comp? I don’t find it uncomfortable and I’ve come from a Range Rover. If there is a better deal on a Comp I wouldn’t dismiss it unless you have driven one back to back with a non-Comp.

Bar the alloys and a bit of trim, i wonder in day to day driving if anyone would notice the difference between the two.

There is a big difference between the two in chassis set up. In on road performance, there is nothing in it.

Rather than starting a new thread, I wondered if anyone had any experience of the M850 in terms of deals etc. Depreciation looks terrifying but I'm only going on prices advertised at the moment.

Peter Vardy website has new 69 plate standard M5 with £27308 finance deposit contribution, £755 deposit and £819 monthly, 3.9% APR......won’t be long now for me, holding out for 0% but shall I go for it now?...expect finance contribution will drop to compensate against 0% when it happens so monthly’s probably won’t be much different, seems to recall that’s what happened last time.

I think Joe Achilles describes it quite well:

I saw this video before I bought my M5 Comp and nearly bought an M5 standard as a result of Joe’s (IMHO) over the top opinion of the difference in ride quality. So pleased I ignored Joe and bought the M5 Comp. The ride is just fine and my wife hasn’t complained once about ride quality smile

Is that the white one?

Judging by the condition of the seat bolster it might be an ex demo with a little more than 100 miles on it? I think that rules out the 3.9% PCP offer? I could be wrong though, in which case it is one the the best deals out there at the moment.

Unfortunately, white and black are 2 colours I can't live with.

It's the comp only for me and I was looking to do a deal this week but will hang on until the end of the year latest to see if any better deals come up.

The 2020 C8 RS6 hits the the Frankfurt motor show next month and I hope BMW will offer better discounts on the M5C soon after.

Last week of September is usually an excellent time to haggle on cars they have in stock at any BMW dealership in the UK...

Why would they until it gets released eg late 2020? In my experience Audi offer very little discount on RS cars so again why would BM offer anything more than now? Get one and drive it party

IMHO people are getting a little carried away here with the discount thing.

Even taking into account the RRP is inflated to some extent, the discounts on offer are sizable and the car available for said amount of money is very fair, People waiting for the next 1-2k extra is a little funny as it means next to nothing on the grand scheme of the cost of the car over 1-3 years.

As mentioned above the availablity of the RS6 won't mean nothing in terms of discounts in fact I would go as far as to say it will put into perspective the amount of bang for buck you are getting with a new M5. RS cars have next to no discount and I am sure will be knocking on 100K+. It's already 20-30k more expensive.

RS6 doesn't keep its money any better in my opinion, it just looks that way as it always more expensive in the used examples than the equivlant bmw but as stated its 20-30k extra to buy anyway.

I couldn’t get the words out quickly enough to beat your post.
Honestly, if you want one just get it bought and drive it. I’ve just traded against a factory order M5 Comp my two and a half year old X5M with 27k on the clock for £43k, which cost me £82k at the time (list £104k). Normal M depreciation. No chance would I procrastinate another few months in the off chance there’s an extra couple of grand in the deal. Bargain hard and get the deal done smile
