A pal sent me this...don't know the inns and outs and others can say if this seems a good deal...
think that deal is on very low mileage....

Halliwell has 8k a year 48 months £5k down and £730 pcm
That Vardy deal is on 8k per month amortised it's £756 per month the Halliwell deal is £834 per month amortised or £3744 more over the term.

Lot of car for a decent price that.

It is isn't it, I'm tempted but I've had a new F10 M5 before on a similar deal but when you do 30k per year it gets ruinous, so I'll stick but for someone who does low miles it's as you say a lot of car.

I've been looking at a number of cars but a few drives this weekend has led me to the idea of a 530d or 540i. I'm hoping that the difference between the two and the M5 stays the same and I can get a big bargain on them.

M5 would be boss but I'd be doing a few more miles, a lot less than you and I'd lose my license

Still becomes a tempter. May see what a bigger mileage does.

All I’ll say is the M5 is light years ahead of the 530d or 540, you can’t even begin to compare them and.......

Every time you see one you’ll look over and think ‘God I wish I’d ordered one of those’ yes

You only live once and I don’t remember anyone saying on their deathbed, “I’m glad I didn’t order that xxx I wanted back when” hehe

True. This issue I have, and its a bit off topic, is that my commute is 50 miles a day and is mainly straight line motorway and A road. So I am putting a fair amount of miles on the car doing grim driving - bar the odd set of lights I would not really see difference between the 3 on a daily basis. I would just be paying more in monthlies and petrol etc. Those times I get to enjoy it though I know would be worlds apart....and the noise... plus its a nicer place to sit, and its a M5, and its so lovely....

The thing that I try to remind myself to try and make me see sense is the idea its more a target to thieves

The M5 will be a different beast to the 530d or 540i taking spec into account and that deal at Vardy I would have thought there wouldn't be too much in it once you spec the 30d/40i up to the standard M5 spec. *within £150 per month as a wild guess" If you're mileage isn't crazy I'd go for it.

Discount that is currently available is on the non competition. They released the competition too soon and as it's only £6k extra no one is buying the standard one

I was offered a staggering and similar discounts on both the CP and standard car.

I decided to go standard and spend my £6k on options, the standard car is still absolutely brilliant yes

But they are the same basic numbers the deposit doesn't matter the amortised monthly cost is the important thing, in fact looking at that the overall cost has gone up.
