Has anyone here had PCW exhaust mods tweak their factory exhaust? Lots of statics on Instagram but wondering about noise under load and whether the ASD would need turning off?
Regarding bootmod3 ecu flash, newer cars/ones that have been in for service have had the dme locked and there’s no workaround as yet which means you can’t flash it now.

So...it looks like there will be a CS. I've asked a couple of dealers and they deny anything but looks like it's coming. Going to hold out and see if I can bag one assuming the price isn't utterly ridiculous.
BMW dealers will certainly take a deposit. I placed a £500 deposit in 2017, and have written signed proof that I'm third on the list at the dealer. I don't know if allocation will be limited or not, I think in the current market they will make as many as they need to to fulfil every possible order. But they have done ultra limited editions so just want to make sure I get one. So was worth losing £500 for a couple of years.

I would take that with a pinch of salt for sure, the ECU has a flash counter on it and if they really wanted to check for mods (engine failure etc) they can check peak boost levels recorded and then you'd be rumbled.
When I flash my car back to stock it does indeed look "untraceable" as there are no tell tale codes but they will find out its been flashed if they are looking hard enough.
Thanks for this. I will think about it a bit harder now. I'll do the other upgrades (suspension and brakes) and then decide if I need more power. I will the decide if I go the official route or if I go the unofficial route which is 20% of the price. It's already been reported on other sites that it is happening. My dealer has confirmed it, too. Price wise it will be about £80K!Kyri

Yeah, I just double checked and the RIS is indeed covered. Contact centre screw up (I wouldn't mind but I asked twice for the operator to check) but if I hadn't double checked I wonder if they'd still try and invoice me for 350 notes?
Grrr!
Hope not! I paid less than £250 for the RIS on my F80CP. Grrr!
But from the other thread -
But if you had an m2 comp would you upgrade. It would cost close to 25-30k to change and the only thing you can’t add to your existing m2 is the suspension.
Exterior carbon fibre from bmw including roof and bonnet 10k, 3k for acs suspension, 3k for the wheels and tires, 5k for 530hp and 2k for all the internal trinkets
In reality you would spend 10k get the acs power and suspension upgrade and wheels, and 2k on the spliter and boot lip. And have a better car?
And all the acs stuff is warrantied

If the rumours of £90k are true I don't see how they can justify adding £40000 to a £50000 car. You can buy the bonnet, brakes, power upgrade, roof, spoiler, splitters from a BMW dealer, and end up with a faster nicer car. So an extra 20k for some different seats and a bit of branding, and the different changeable suspension

75k bit too strong for me, I'd rather put that in a gt4 if my wife were ver to sign off! So my question is whether to go for a prereg CP for 45k or low miles LCI at 30k? Head says the latter but something about Comp edition calls me!
32 buys u a nice manual LCI circa 10k miles That spread between the comp and the LCI is only going to narrow

Drive both. I would never own a non comp m2. For me the suspension changes make the comp much much betterGassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
