You lot aren't helping my resolve to stick with the M135 punch

I do wonder did they really needed to go for rims that wide, not a fan of the stretched tyre look.

Could you just paint the rear silencer black to hide it a bit ?
I have painted mine with black high temperature paint and it looks so much better as it blends into the underside of the car. I'll post a photo of it when I get chance.

Matt black, high temp paint worked great for me and is a common thing to do to hide it:

Doesn't do anything to the stock exhaust sound unfortunately, which is probably my biggest complaint about the car. This pushed me toward a more drastic modification.

That looks so much better in black. It’s a real shame that BMW are leaving the backbox on show these days. It started with the E9x cars.

The matt black finish looks great - what paint did you use? See there are quite a few, from sprays to brush on too - any help/ steer would be greatly appreciated!

Just had the Milltek race OPF back system fitted to mine.
Sounds a fair bit better and doesn’t now have the big udder hanging down..

Need to disable the ASD though, as it spoils the exhaust somewhat.

I used Autotek Professional VHT Black paint which is designed to withstand up to 650 degrees Centigrade.

Would 1 x 500ml spray can be enough to do a rear box?

Did three (light) coats on my rear box and there's a little left in the can, so i'd say yes.
Done about 4k miles since then, so far so good.
