My E92 M3 with EDC was the best riding performance car that I've had too. Like you I never had it in the hardest setting either. Comfort was lovely, and I put it in the middle setting if I was pushing on.

I'm so disappointed with the ride in the F82 M4 that I have now in comparison. Even in comfort mode it is still miles too hard for me. It is a shame how much BMW ruined the M4 in that regard I reckon, because the E92 M3 with EDC was just so right for sure.
That's sad to hear. I think time has not been kind to the f8x generation. Tail happy, less comfy and a bit of a farty exhaust note frown still a fantastic all rounder though?
I still love it regardless though as a great all rounder. Plus I'm 10 years older than I was when I had the M3, so I think that plays a part in it too. I tend to appreciate a comfortable ride more now!

I recall going on a dealer launch driving day when the F80 came out Lee, I had a e92 comp at the time, the F80 felt like a go cart in comparison (in a good way) but as you say much firmer it was also massively more direct with real front end bite into a corner.

The front end is ace as you say. The front end bite was the first thing that my missus commented on the first time she drove it as well. I do love the car a lot to be fair, and I know that you were really happy with yours too.

I’ve contacted him for you. Seems to still be active.
Good luck.

Hi Blanchimont,

I know it's been 2years since you were considering the 2010 non-EDC M3 Comp mentioned above, but I wonderered if you can remember any further details about that car. I'm investigating a potentially cloned vehicle and a non-EDC M3 Comp Pack is key to cracking this case. For reference, 13 early E92 M3 Comp Pack's came without EDC due to a mistake at the factory.

Questions it would be great if you can help with in any small way include;-

- Where abouts in the country was the car located when advertised?
- Was it exactly 60k miles at the time, or was it a little less / a little more?
- A long shot, I know, but if by chance you have any pictures of the car from your communications with the seller, particularly interior pictures or pictures of the service book that you'd be willing to share, that could be key to cracking this particular investigation

Many thanks in advance for any help you're able to offer.

Hi mate,

I’ve trawled through, and found a photo of the car I took at the time.
From memory it wasn’t exactly 60k, just below. Some like like 56/58k.
It was a performance dealer in north Bristol.
From memory it did have black leather, and had some exhaust work done, and I’m pretty sure it had a carbon lip on the back, but not 100%.
I do have a pic of it with the reg here:

Hope this helps!

I did miss the S65 though but I know you didn't!

That's super helpful, thank you so much. Yes, it is the car that's of interest in this investigation. Really appreciate you digging that outthumbup

Glad I could help!

Do you have any more info on the background of it, what’s come about it?

That's mad. Also mad to think the car died not long after I went to look at it. Presumably the person who bought it stacked it.

There'd been no other change of keeper before the accident, so that's my belief.

It still appears on MCR's instagram, should you wish to take a look. It's in their video, around mid December 2019, of their forecourt stock.
