Probably my favourite colour. I prefer it infinitely to my estoril!
How long is too long to resurrect a thread / comment?!
Mine is Artic Silver and I think its the most boring of colour of all time.....

I wanted a black one but I opted for condition over colour - the sensible choice yes but god it bores me!
So much so that ive been considering wrapping and resprays for a while now.... its only losing the cars originality that stops me.

One of my two favourite colours on them.
I have a Boston green saloon which went into the paint shop last week for some touch up work. I've had the car 21 years and decided that it's time to spend a bit of money on it to address those minor niggles.

Will post some photos when I get it back.

That's an interesting image! I have a 318is which will need the entire nearside rear quarter panel replacing. It was replaced many years ago after sustaining accident damage and there are signs of corrosion throughout the weld while the arch is a complete mess! The offside arch is going too. The doors, boot lid, bonnet and other areas are also showing sings of corrosion. Then it'll need a whole re-spray. I've got the budget for it but it's a case of how much it's likely to end up costing. If it's £10k then game on. If it's £20k then I'll mothball it and buy a three year old 420i M Sport.
I'd have thought that for £10k you could easily have all your rust cut out with new metal welded in (obviously that's unless it's an utter rot-box) along with a decent full body respray.

My old E36 Evo vert which I sold last year.

I still wish I had it in this nice current sunny weather. My children really loved the engine noise and wind-in-the-hair experience.

Didn’t realise you’d finally parted with this. Keep threatening to let mine go but can’t be arsed going through all the hastle hehe

If yours a coupe and is rust free I'd hang on to it. Their values are just crazy currently.

My vert has pretty hard to sell if I am honest and I had spent a fair bit on it in the last year of ownership or so.

I'd love to have one again but as a project car this time; maybe put an S54 engine in it with a CSL style carbon airbox.

The dream lives on as they say wink

I was quoted £8,500 (+/- 10%) three years ago by a very good local restorer, but didn't have the budget at the time. I had the sills done last year by a local garage when it had its MOT - they weren't too bad as E36 sills go. Other than that it's a case of how costs may have risen since and how that might affect the price. I'm thinking a car restorer will have seen increases in the costs of welding, for example, what with the rise in energy prices.

Quite like Artic - like you, its not my favourite colour (Fern Green probably), although it suits it quite well.

Not dissimilar to the Polar Silver from 993/RS2 fame.

I only went with it as it has a red interior

Wow, that looks super cool.

What an epic combo. I haven't seen that before on any E36.

Appreciate it, thanks. I love the way the 4 door looks, but the combo sold it.
