Tbf, that price has only 3 options ticked; M pro pack, M drivers pack and the 826 wheel option.

The techno violet paint isn't included in that price.

After Spec'ing mine to well north of £100K, the dealer asked if he could advise a spec.

He did and I followed, over £20K cheaper, lost a lot of the extras, but in the dealer opinion wouldn't change the re-sale one bit, and he took my carbon seats off me as he didn't recommend them for a daily.

I think the car will be a hit, whatever the spec to be honest? An M3 for the tip run? What's not to like!

I mean you would have to really love an M3 body shape when you can get pretty much the same car with more space in the X3M comp with a £16k dealer contribution. £500 odd pcm vs £1000 odd pcm is a no brainer for me.

They are pricing it right in between the RS4 and RS6 once you allow for options packs etc, which is probably fair enough.

As for whether they will drop, BMW have burnt a few bridges over the last ten years with big discounts at different stages of the life cycle on M cars and they haven't held up as well as RS.

It doesn't look like there will be huge supply at first but they could end up doing what they did with the M2 and dumping a load of them on the market before each LCI.
This is what's coming and big discounts just round the corner, 16%+ coming soon on M3/M4 cars, watch this space and HOLD BACK.

Still can't spec them up on the config site unless I'm having a blonde moment?

Think the touring m3 goes live on the configurator end of sept
If your lucky enough to get one of the first batch that’s going to each dealer you won’t lose a penny on it. That’s what I think anyway. Gonna be a very rare car till q4 2023 at least

Can I ask what spec you are going with?

I've decided against the carbon seats as it will be a daily driver.

I really don't want an SUV though, so there's that... smile

I have lived with the M Carbon seats in my M4 daily driver for the past 18mths…they are absolutely brilliant and I wouldn’t have the standard seats as they add to part of the sense of occasion.

My M3 Touring spec is just the right side of £100k. Hopefully firmer details on build and deliver dates will come in the next week or so, am expecting a Nov build and Dec delivery, however love my M4 so not sure I can fully justify the cost to change to essentially the same car again.

I have the orange full leather interior in my M4 with Dravit exterior. I love that spec but don’t want to just go the same again. However i do want to go orange interior again which dictates the exterior, and want a really rich silver which isn’t available as a standard colour so I have gone to the individual palette with Donnington. That’s the order that has gone in but I am expecting to be told I have to go back to standard colours at which point I might just walk away as I don’t want to go with Skyscraper or repeat Dravit. I also have had a M3 in Tanzanite with Silverstone previously on a F80 so don’t want to repeat that again. Hoping my order can be honoured.

Fingers crossed. I think fan individual colour will put your car back a month or so ? Do you get a thick black stripe down the centre of the orange seats ? I’m going orange with Brooklyn i think

I mentioned elsewhere that individual colours are now listed on https://visualizer.bmw-individual.com/Ipps/bmwoac?...

I can waste hours mucking about with the colours. smile

To be fair, when the M5 wasn't flying off the shelf, there were deals for £500 a month and not a large deposit.

Cannot see that happening with the M3 touring; its a 'grail' car for M fans, and there doesn't seem to be plans for churning them out.

Thanks for that, I was wondering when the list would come up. Still like the idea of Daytona Violet despite the cost... But its not going to go with an orange & black interior!

Anyway, that's the chance of any productivity gone out the window for the morning...

How are some dealers able to place orders when some don't seem to have their allocation confirmed yet? Or is it just an order on their internal(?) system at the moment?
