I didn't notice the rev limiter increase on mine , the internet does lie though, no more power
Certainly feels like my engine loosened up a bit after about 3000 miles though
That’s because it doesn’t raise the rev limit either. All 5 of my G82’s have felt exactly the same post RIS and haven’t started to fully loosen up until north of 4k as you say. Certainly feels like my engine loosened up a bit after about 3000 miles though
My third was by far the fastest!

What a strange post.
I don't have my allocated one as it hasn't turned up at the dealers yet.
Neither has the other 2 they were allocated.
No big issue for me, strange its an issue for others.
I spoke with my dealer yesterday - there's still changing dates for some specifications and paints, both the stock Individual options and the "proper" Individual ones. When I ordered mine it was expected to be the third car they got, but its now going to be the first assuming its not held up in their distribution chain, so there's definitely delays and a bit of unpredictability.I don't have my allocated one as it hasn't turned up at the dealers yet.

I'm still here. Still loving it at 2k miles now. I understood it was a different map at RIS, as that's what the Internet said. All they did was raise the rev limiter. I've not gone sulky or anything as I stated something that was wrong. I'm more miffed now at just spending £160 on genuine rubber mats!
It's a great package, I had a brisk drive back from the west country today, licence compromising speeds come up very quickly indeed. Country road overtakes are laugh inducing.
Hey Catfood, good to have you back and glad the car is agreeing with you. What is the process for this analysis - how much do you send off? What company and do they tell you what or if anything to worry about?
I use The Oil Lab, www.theoillab.co.uk.I use the bronze package, you send them £39 and they send you a sample bottle and return tube to send the sample back in. They also give you a length of tube and syringe that can be used to extract the oil. I took the oil filter off my M3 and emptied the oil left in the bowl into the sample bottle.
They give you a report as previously posted, and a general guide to results. It is most useful to see comparative reports. I have a couple of large generators, and we sample the oil each change and it's a good indicator for contamination etc.
I wasn't expecting to see any problems with my report, but was expecting to see much more material in the oil from running in. Although I see others' comments about not properly loosening up until 8K miles or so. I'll do an oil change about 10K and see what that's like.

Mine expected last week, held up in ‘storage at Southampton’ - response from logistics awaited……
That sucks... Someone else has had similar on the Facebook group, but there's has been there for about 3 weeks now.Looks like mine is still there too - it all seemed to be going really smoothly and quickly from assembly to reaching the UK and now nothing.

Could arrive any day apparently its all down to the transport companies and the dealer rarely gets advance notice, hopefully wont be long for you
Thanks for the info. Comms from the dealer hasn't been great and I have a few things to try and get lined up... have got alloys to go on the car & need to get it booked-in for PPF as well as planning a couple of trips and booking-in the run-in service which all relies on me getting a handover date!liner33 said:

Arrived at the dealer today……had a lovely video to showing it off. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh and running it in!
That's good news, they seem to be trickling through steadily now. You'll have to post some pictures when you get it, there's hardly any on this thread. As expected, the cars for sale by flippers aren't going anywhere fast... I just don't think there's a big enough market for that on this car.
