Whatever that product is bottom left of shot, there's not enough in the universe to buff this monstrosity up to acceptable standards biggrin
I think they should just re-apply the camo - looks much better with it on laugh

I really hope this is a hoax.

Could be a smart ploy by bmw prior to the official release.
What’s the ploy? Design an ugly car, but trick everyone into thinking it was going to be even uglier than it is, so that when the real car is revealed everyone thinks it looks ok?

Seems a bit convoluted.

It actually does lol must be first car in history where people want it back at prototype stage biggrin

I bet Joe Achilles will still wax lyrical about how great it looks, blowing smoke up their a-holes all the way...

I saw his instagram story today - he has asked people to stop tagging him about the leaks as he can't talk about it yet laugh

I watched a joe Achilles video once on youtube, about 6 years ago. It was fking dull. He seemed to have perfected the art of saying very little that’s actually meaningful, nothing that is original, and somehow still filling 10 minutes with speaking. It was like someone edited all the least original bits of 90s Top Gear car reviews together into one video. Maybe he’s improved.

The colour certainly doesn't help, but even so that doesn't look great from the pics though. Maybe it will look better in the metal and in a darker colour.
It’ll look better in the dark, with your eyes closed!

I don’t think the current 2 series is a particularly great looking car; there are too many flat surfaces and boot ends too abruptly for my tastes.

It's like a lifesize Playmobile car.

Find the person responsible, get him in the stocks outside HQ and invite people to throw a selection of undesirables in his direction. And second him permanently to Brandsatter.

The new BMW M2.

Styled by the design committee that never met.

I'm still struggling to believe that those pics are actually the real thing.

Such a dull presenter, I've never understood how he became popular.

Pretty much describes the majority of YouTube-based automotive influencers biggrin

People said exactly the same thing about the M3 & M4 when the beaver grill shots first appeared and looked how that panned out.

This was my first thought. Looks like 0.5mm thick fibreglass.

Dear Christ!
Was sent the photo of the rear over the weekend without any context and thought it was just a shonky fibre glass kit and didn’t really pay any attention.
After seeing the hideous looks of the new CSL up close it wouldn’t entirely surprise me if it is real.

Horrendous. Again.

Those raised vertical strips in-between the kidney grills (now known instead as 'the squarish holes') are just absolutely shocking...

Didn't realise Chamfer was an optional extra on Autocad? biggrin

I honestly don't understand how the design team signed off the the rear end of the car! It just looks horrific!
