It's a long shot...
I once owned an all black, factory de chrome M535i. Whilst in my ownership it carried a private plate which I think was IUI followed by 4 numbers. It had been bought new by the Rt. Hon. Lord Beaverbrook when it carried the plate 33 TMA.
I believe it went to Ireland in the late 90s where it was put back on the road after a short while.
I believe the car was still in use in the late noughties.
I have the original Service Booklet showing work/inspections from new up until around 1991.
If its still out there pass on info, I will send it to the current owner.
