Should be sorted with new MAF meters but if the fault returns (basically a misfire which defaults into limp home mode) then its the cps (camshaft position sensors) or vanos solenoids, which aren't even nearly as expensive to replace as doom'n gloom merchants would have you believe.

If you're thinking about trading the M5 (3.3 alpina wtf!) I'd suggest the cheaper option of forking out 3k for a full suspension refresh incl. new shocks/bushings/wishbones/steering joints etc. which basically transforms the M5 into its former glory and does wonders for steering feel & overall tautness.

Anything short of a V10 or superchagged Alpina B5 would be a mistake bandit

Panic over.

New MAFs and a recharged DME = restoration of the old order.

There is little if any compulsion, now, to get out of this vehicle; as Tiff once famously eulogised, 'tis "like putty in my hands."

And indeed, it is...

One of life's cloud9 drivings.

Excellent.
So when do we expect the V10 to become part of the household?

Mate,

When lots of people with a penchant for large amounts of 'never never' have paid for my thence clear bargain, to wit, in about 2, maybe 3 years' time.

I see no good reason to dump this barge when it is so phenomenally well engineered, practical, fast and wilfuly balletic whilst simultaneously, one could run an EVO IX alongside it for less than the jump to E60dom.

Indeed, there might even be a few crumbs left after all that to upgrade the boss's turbo deisel tractor into something equally weighty but somewhat more (vee) eighty and sanctioned by the waffen Affalterbach Moto Gruppe.

You need schnell for every occasion.
