I just don't see the point of this car.
Show me another 4 seater convertible with this sort of performance - RS4 cab and the new Bentley are probable the only ones.
I can see the point of such a car. You like sports cars and you like convertibles... that simple really... 911 Turbo Convertible... have your cake and eat it... like wise the RS4 Cab... the M6 Cab etc etc...
I appreciate that dynamically the cars maybe flawed by not having a roof... but so what if that is what you like.

Not that my opinion is worth much (as I don't even have a car at the moment) but personally I'd rather buy a convertible that was designed as such from the outset like the Boxster, S2000 and MGF. OK OK, I was joking about the MGF but you know what I mean.
That way you'll always avoid the comparison of your car to the hard top and the resultant extra weight and reduced chassis strength etc...
And how often is it claimed that the soft top version of a particular car is better than it's hard top relative?
Oh and you have to pay more for the car in the first place, along with higher insurance premiums!

BMW kid themselves they are good at making large coupe's. History tells us otherwise. Fiat had similar delusions about making large saloons. result - failure.
Any BM over £60k needs a different badge.

The original 6 series was the definitive large coupe and you don't need to be a BMW fan to see that.
p.s. Have you picked up you penguin yet?

BMWs aren't cars, they're status symbols (except the M3 & M5), if you want a good, 4 door German saloon, do the sensible thing, buy an Audi
Why would I buy a car that has the engine in the wrong place?Well in !!! the engine should be behind your head for that sort of wonga

It aint no 4 seater. I'm currently driving a 630 convertible (courtesy car) and it's definately a 2+2. I'm less than 6 foot tall and there is no chance of fitting even small kids behind my seat. Thank God I've not got any!
Thats total bollox. I've been in the back of a 645 Coupe and that was ok (only went in for a couple of short journeys) but I've been in the back of a 645 conv for journeys up to 3 hours long and I was fine, and I'm 17! Theres enough space for 2 people in the back, and plenty of space for 2 kids easily!
the convertible has smaller rear seats than the coupe tho!
There's something to be said for having a ridiculously powerful open top car as opposed to the more dynamic tin top. The sound and the whole driving experience are hightened when there's no roof over your head and you then forget the scuttle shake and wobbliness.
It only works on silly powered cars, but the overall experience when the weather is right is in a different league.
As for all this fat cat and lottery talk, its pure and utter jealousy!
