Wim, a V8 Cerbera is . . . erm . . . violent.

I like my cars wild, race-like. Rene's stunner is like a GT, really I mean that.

It's comfy and fast without the constant nervous urge I like so much.

Why not call GTO magazine to invite 'em for a review Rene? Or Octane? Please mail for details wink

I'm gone for 2 days BTW, business course.
Hey Dink, have a nice 2 day trip thenbiggrin

I did call autovisie(they are to busy but have my mail and info so good take a while or never) and mailed GTO but I guess they are busy too cause I never heard something back and I'm no pusher so I wait...but I would like a review with nice pics in a car-magazine...think the car deserves it, I know of one existing magazine where they had this car in a review that was a bmwcarmagazine in february 2002 when they visiting Herbert Hartge's headquarters.

Rene, how come you're selling? I may be behind the times with this one, but you've not had the Hartge long and now its in the classifieds?

Is the Weissmann coming? biggrin
No Tim, its because within a year I have to sell it, and it mostly takes a year or so to sell such car and I'm in no hurry as you can guessbiggrin but for the right price it will go...and i rather sell it on time and not when it really has to go then you loose a lot money.
Its my only car that also why and its a responsibility for a thinker like me...I had my dream-car and it also drives like a dream every time I get inbiggrin its really that good! the best car I've ever had and ever driven! but I want to keep it the best car and not getting to many miles on it.

I had my pleasure to hunt it down and own one of the rarest cars on the planet (there's only one!) and also put Hartge as a brand on the map in NL by the RDW never ever was there a Hartge as a brand on Dutch papers only as tuning parts on a BMW so that's a nice thing toobiggrin

A Wiesmann GT is sadly a bit to high for me now, I'm not that rich sadly, but I hope within a year or 6 to own one, its on my dreanlist too, already a few yearshehe

The Hartge is a real bargain for what I'm asking, but many do not know its a real Hartge and not just a pimped up BMW with Hartge parts and its even cheaper then buying the parts and labour(95.000,-euro) and then you still have a BMW.

You were there too? biggrin it was fun, the first time for me that the Hartge went over the Ring, big fun and the car is fast enough, ofcorse its not a real track-car or track focused but I had fun, just like on the video link @ Zandvoort 19 Sept this year, big fun toobiggrin but I'm driving with some margin ofcorse, don't want to harm the Hartge

@John, your welcome mate, nice to meet you and your girlfriend, your a nice couple it was fine day @ the Ring, the weather, the cars and the people thx for making this day possible.

@Albert, I did not took John on the Ring, I just did one lap alone because I have to know the Ring a bit better first and the Hartge is not really a Ring Toolhehe it glides? to much with the street tires and the brakes are not up for a "track" so I loose almost every corner a second ore more, they did time my lap(just my second lap on the Ring) and did a 9:27min that with 2 yellow flags and a working slow spot...and some traffic, glad I did it under 10minbiggrin
And ow Albert, It would be nice to see the pics you madethumbup

David Yu's Z06 is amazing it grips and grips and ow the brakes damn how easy to drive, if my car handled that well I bet they could time me around a low 8min (when I know the Ring better) David drives very well and that Vet is amazing and looks stunning!
Though I'm not a Corvette man and my money would not go to a Vet(though I once owned onehehe I believe it was a C4)

Yo Rene, how are you doin' ? We know each other from the Ultima forum but I have some news for you, I have just bought myself a Z4 M Coupe !. It will not be for a while yet but my plan is to do an engine transplant using, you guessed it, an LS7. This may not actually happen as I am finding the 3.2 a pleasure but a pal of mine has just emigrated to the States and I have asked him to look out for a 'cut out' motor for me so this may be the deciding factor. Good to see that you are enjoying your car and you never know, we may yet get to meet face to face one day thumbup
H Wayne, I'm doing "fine" thx...mister black rightbiggrin so you bought yourself a Z4 M coupe? and in time you gonna put a lovely LS7 engine in itidea nicebiggrin what a great idea! also put some carbon parts on it en CSL seats to safe some weight and you have a masterpiecehehe
Monday when I was doing a fast lap round the Ring as a passenger in David Yu's car the tuned 575hp Corvette Z06 with other suspension and wheels ans big big brakes we had some irritatingbiggrin very fastnuts BMW Z4 M coupe in our mirror and we were going really fast(a bit faster then the Porsche GT3 in front of us, but we had to let it pasyikes amazing how fast that car was, must be tuned and must have had a lot special stuff on itconfused so keep us posted when your in for that kind of work on that Z4 M coupe.
Would be nice to see you Wayne, best at a good surrounding, lets say Nordschleife/Nurburgringbiggrin but this year no more because of the weather over-there...unstable and its a long ride to gamble.
What colour is your car and what more would you change? by the way you can sell the parts that come from the M for another projectbiggrin say a light ginetta with such engine or a screaming caterham/7 type...

I have read a lot about you car Rene on the internet on various pages and sites. Feel compelled to tell you that you have a great car there mate! I know, nothing new to say and nothing you haven't heard a million times, just needed to say it. thumbup

Incidentally, there was a silver M Coupe in the Feb issue of BMWcar magazine, photographed at the BMWcar magazine trackday at Brands Hatch that looked very similar to yours in so much as body styling (bonnet, front bumper and side grills), though on closer inspection the wheels, seats and obviously the engine and pedigree are not the same as your unique M Coupe.

All the best mate, dustybottoms.
Indeed looks are a bit the same but many detail differences also in the cabin, like pedals, steering-wheel, dials, handbrake-handle, gearshift (also short-shift and 6-speed) etc etc etc...
i once looked it up on the birds website with prices from Hartge parts and to make a Z3 m coupe like mine would cost you 95.000,-euro and then still you have a BMW biggrin and not the original Hartge, though most think its a BMW with hartge stuff..but its the real deal with Hartge chassis-number and all, also owner Herbert Hartge on the German papers etc etc..so, its also a investment...though also on sale for the right price that is.
thanks

Have you sold this beast yet ?
nope, but I'm in no hurry, I've got only scammers who try to rob me, but I watch out for those.

But most people think its a BMW with Hartge stuff on it, and its not, its a real Hartge as a Brand with Hartge chassis-code and paperwork, and most people did not know they make such thing...

a few weeks ago we had a Dutch Canonball run in Germany, but all in a desent way with help of the policebeer

anyway we did lots of high speed runs with passengers, and there were about 60 cars most very fast like tuned Z06 cars and M3 CSL SC with 550ps and Lambo Diablo SE and many many more.

I was there with my Hartge and managed again a 310km/u on the speedo and a passenger took a picture from his movie he made, one of my concentrated face in the mirror when doing 310km/ulaugh

and one of the speedo.

it was a good daycool

we also had some girls on the grid to pose on the cars

the police were very nice helping us that day to make it a clean day and sent us one by one to the highway the whole day, thnx guys, they were very sportive:
