They're guessing at the details. Ridiculous when the real information will be available shortly.
Looks ok from the side, but the rear 3/4 looks like it's a banana, all droppy ish, bit like a Maserati 3200GT kinda look sorta thing.
Still nice, but the rear 3/4 could be better imho
But what is with those wing mirrors?
E36 M3 mirrors lived and died a long time ago!

Ignorance is bliss.
I know from conversations I had with senior BMW execs that a CSL version would be coming. I also know what I have been told that the standard M3 would follow the same highly-specced (sunroof, lots of toys etc) direction that the E46 M3 took.
So the E92 M3 Concept, painted in the same 'Chrome Shadow' paint that the CSL Concept was displayed in back in Tokyo 2002 looks to be showing what a CSL version could look like. BMW have 'deliberately' chosen to display a CSL-looking concept (complete with Michelin Cup tyres and 'CSL' wheels). They didn't have to, but they chose to.
They've clearly fitted standard M3 trim inside this concept, but that's not surprising. It's a show car, so they get to display the extreme CSL exterior, but at the same time show what the M3 interior will look like. I highly doubt that any car will be built exactly reflecting the spec of this show car, but it does tell us quite a lot, if you know what to look for.
Overall I found it quite an encouraging showing, and it has caused me to confirm my place in the CSL queue, whereas I was debating the idea of owning a standard M3 and then changing it for a CSL when BMW eventually got around to announcing it.
We've only had a 5 minute soundbite, plus some pictures so nobody knows exactly at the moment but it looks promising.

Absolutely. A bit desperate there, Autocar? All should be revealed by Frankfurt in September at the latest...

I wouldn't be surprised if you're right about that. I'm sure BMW will delight in months more speculation about the precise details, unless of course the rumuors abour cars being available from July prove correct.
Some nice, official looking, hi-res pics here:

Suprised there are none on BMW websites yet, well none that I have seen.

I'm amazed just how knowlegable someone from Texas can be when the nearest they can get to a CSL is 3000 miles. Yet they can tell Steve just how wrong he is even thought it would seem that he was/is at the Geneva show, has heard the car in question and owns a CSL.
Some Americans are just amazing.

That site is so typical of US forums. They speak with such authority when you know they are 15 years old......bloody retards. Always said they were mass debaters over the pond...
