How do you reset the computer that displays avg speed, avg consumption etc etc on a 2001 M5 with no Nav? I had one before with the Nav and you did it on the screen and in other bmw's you just hold the stalk in that says BC but when i do that it flashes up 'Prog'
Any ideas please-ive read the handbooks twice but can't see a reference to it!
thanks

To the right of stereo display are are three buttons.

Press the bottom one on the right "BC", so the stereo info turns to car computer stuff. Once in that mode, the buttons along the bottom of the stereo display will now bring up various computer related stuff. Click the button relating to the one you want and the relevent reading will appear in the top right of the display. Press whichever button relates to [SET] and it should zero.

To get the display showing radio/stereo again, got tho the three buttons on the right and clcik the top one so the display reverts to audio. Ccick the bottom one on the left ie the clcok graphic top bring the clock back to the top right of the display.

DAZ
(I now do it without thinking about it, but clearly can't remember what all of the buttons on the right are labelled.
