Thinking of going along the lines of the evo 8 mon ring car, well not trying to break any records but you catch my drift.

any people using them on here, would do the usual, brakes, suspension, exhaust, strip out, cage etc.

Is the evo more worthwhile for the extra power or is it more fragile hence many people using the 3.0 litre version?

Get yourself over to BMWtrackdays.com .... loads of info on there. Most have stripped and added decent brakes, tyres and suspension ... others have gone a whole lot further.

I followed some of Evo's project ... bought an M3 GT and uprated most of the important bits. My advice would be a try and find a car with the mods already done. A decnt donor and parts/labour will set you back at least £15k, whilst you can pick some some ready prepped examples up for £18k - £10k.

The forum is still down. Not looking good for it frown

I've just bought an e36 track car from another BMWtrackdays member. Need to spend a bit more making it just right (new seats etc).

I've got a cheap track biased (road legal) E36 M3 Evo for sale if you're looking for one. Has over 450bhp with the nitrous on too.

Give me a message if you're interested.
