Hi guys,
I seem to have a very strange problem with my E30 M3. The other day I reset the trip milometer to zero to check mileage to gallon etc, because I seem to be using quite a bit more that I used to. Now the speedo has packed up?? It still shows KPH but the mileage is not changing? I took it straight into Quarry Motors (local specialist) and they said I needed a new speedo? I have not run it since, for obvious reasons.
So my question is; Is it possible to get a replacement speedo? And if so..What happens to my current mileage etc. I have owned the M3 for about a year and have set the trip a few times before with no problems. The guy at Quarry Motors says that the cogs have come out of line?
Sorry to sound a tad naive but it is not a problem I have ever come across.
