Hi,

I've read various posts about modifications that people have made to their Z4Ms.

What I was wondering is:

1) What have you guys/gals modified
2) Approximately how much did it cost
3) what did it give you in terms of performance upgrade

I've just invested in some CSL 19" alloys, which will be my first step on the ladder. I'm thinking about a GruppeM airbox, but am as yet undecided.

All help much appreciated

Yo Steve, I am in exactly the same position as you. My car is Sapphire black and like you ( and 99% 0f all other M Coupe owners it would seem! ) have bought myself the CSL alloys. I had them painted satin black for a slightly tougher look. I have spent the last few weeks on the blower doing a bit of R & D and have come to the assumption that I would better off spending my hard earned on suspension / bushes etc. and maybe brakes as the motor is already tuned to the hilt and although small gains can be made, they are costly and limited.

I was hoping that someone might have fitted a GruppeM ram-air induction kit....someone?....anyone?

Pretty sure sixspeed has one, along with an increasingly long list of mods - his must be one of the most modded UK Z4M's, inc. great looking carbon roof on a white car thumbup

If you can't find him on PH try over here:

yeah I saw those on YouTube.....not quite sure if it sounds awesome or (forgive me) a little harsh. I was thinking of pairing a GruppeM intake with Schnitzer exhaust. Or maybe just one of them alone.

Then fit my CSL rims, a strut brace.....and breathe a sigh of relief smile

TBH I think sixspeed is blazing the trail; hopefully the rest of us will catch up someday.
